i think you have a time out problem – please check the php settings on your webserver (phpinfo) for max script execution time and other time settings.
then you can migrate each category seperately.the urls will be changed. you have to use redirects 301 – there are a lot of plugins for that.
the content should not be empty. what charset you have in the joomla db and tb and in wp? maybe that is the problem?
please try with the settings for “changing the codepage” and not changing.in version 1.5.2 this error should not appear. can you provide me a mysql full dump of your joomla installation?
then I can check it and look for the reason. please send to [email protected].in the next release there is an error message
are you using seperate mysql servers or one mysql root user for both cms?
If you are using seperate servers, please fill out the joomla connection user and password for the mysql root user connection.I will fix that in the next release of the plugin.

In reply to: Joomla to WordPress Migrator Does Not Migrate Pages (Joomla Sections)sections are not migrated – that are not pages, only entries. all the content from jos_content is migrated.
/images/stories is the correct folder in your case. you have to copy the folder /stories cmplete to your wordpress images folder /wp-content/images/2011/03.
the description is not clear. in your case you have to use /images as joomla folder – then it should work correctly.
some joomla installation have different folder for images than /images/stories/articles.tis problem is solved in the latest release of the plugin
please get the latest version of the plugin – 1.5.1. it has the possibility to change the charset from the joomla charset to the wp charset.
with version 1.5.1 you can set different db connections for each cms
with version 1.5.1 the user can set for each cms installation a mysql server and user.
