As I said, the instructions were followed to the letter – so the account being used was an admin of the page, otherwise the feed would have not functioned at all. It worked fine on several different computers, but then would disappear. I think it was a Facebook security issue of some kind. I set up a Facebook account just for doing this with and was added as a second admin of the page and it works, however on my colleague’s account with identical settings, it just kept logging him out of Facebook on all his devices and the website feed was going on and off as well. Very strange, but, solved. Thank you
Thank you, but I think installing that won’t make any difference to anything, the site is on a testing platform anyway so there is no SSL certificate in place. I shall get in touch again when the site is live, but I’m pretty confident it isn’t an SSL issue

If I view source in Chrome, this is what it is showing for the image
If I load the plugin’s preview of the gallery, it shows the below
If I replace the code in the page with the code from the gallery preview in Chrome Dev Tools it displays the image

https://ibb.co/jnzL9J That is a copy of the console. The errors regarding HTTP/HTTPS will disappear when the website goes live and there is a valid SSL certificate
Thanks for your reply. Same happens in the WordPress 2015 and 2016 themes.
I was wondering if the URLs that the plugin uses could be the issue? I have my hosts file set up to redirect the URL to the space where the folder I’m using for testing the site is. Is there any chance that it has generated the wrong URL for the images as a result?
What do you mean by the website console?

In reply to: [Smart Slider 3] Slider not appearing on mobileAll sorted. Thank you. I shall be switching the DNS to point to the new site in the coming days and then I’ll know about the mobile thing for certain. Have a great weekend

In reply to: [Smart Slider 3] Slider not appearing on mobileThank you. I’m trying to make it smaller, it is set to 700 and I have changed it down to 500 but it doesn’t change in size. I shall look at the thumbnail thing and let you know

In reply to: [Smart Slider 3] Slider not appearing on mobileThanks for the reply. Once I change the DNS to point to the website it should work. I am pretty sure seeing as the issue looks the same on both a remote desktop and a mobile, that it is the same problem and it will just rectify itself then.
I have two other quick questions though. Unfortunately you won’t be able to see to test due to the reasons outlined above, however if I change the height and click save it makes no difference to the height of the slider. I have refreshed the plugin’s cache and it has made no difference. Secondly, the previews which appear above the dots at the bottom of the slider are for the template before I edited it. Every single image is of the template I used and not the content I inputted myself. How do I change that?
Thank you

In reply to: [Smart Slider 3] Slider not appearing on mobileThanks for the reply, the site is only at https://www.hdiltd.com for me on my PC. I have changed my hosts file to redirect to the domain for testing purposes. For everyone else the site is at https://213.107.185.85/plesk-site-preview/hdiltd.com/213.107.185.85/.
I have just looked at the site now on a remote desktop and it is invisible on that too so it has to be the fact that the URL contains the domain name and not just the folder. All the links I have created myself all begin at the /, I presume the ones in the slider plugin all begin with https://www.hdiltd.com/.
Problem solved hopefully, and pretty quickly and easily. I assume once I point the DNS for the domain to the new site everything will just work perfectly.
Cheers!

In reply to: Moving post centrally / image align changingApologies, I just installed another slider, I spent hours messing around with the code and achieving nothing. It is sorted now. I should have updated you. Thank you

In reply to: Moving post centrally / image align changingThank you, that seems to have worked. Now I just need to work out why the text only appears intermittently on the slider! It’s been a lot more hard work than I expected!

In reply to: Moving post centrally / image align changingI have changed it to a single image to scroll through which I think looks better, still could do with solving the alignment thing. Also, if you look on the home page https://213.107.185.85/plesk-site-preview/hdiltd.com/213.107.185.85/ you can see that the text in the scroller half way down the page doesn’t load every time. Again, pressing refresh makes it disappear like it made the formatting of the images change on the other page

In reply to: Changing Header / Moving TextAlso, I tried disabling sticky header and while it fixes the issue with the header, refreshing the page still moves the testimonial text up and down. Not sure if that is helpful, but I figure it may help identify the problem
Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: Changing Header / Moving TextThe problems happen simultaneously. It looks like the header getting bigger knocks the testimonial down the page but somehow everything else is immune to being moved
