In reply to: Changed parent page, doesn’t show on onlineHi, Kim
Thank you so much for your prompt reply.
Here’s an example…
I want to change Drawing Animals from Literacy:Drawing Introduction:Drawing Animals to Cultural Activities:Art:Drawing Activities:Drawing Animals.
The permalink on the Drawing Animals WordPress edit page seems to reflect this change:
https://alcuinschool.com/blog/cultural-activities/art/drawing-activities/drawing-animals/But when I click on it, it takes me to the old location under Literacy:Drawing Introduction (please see my email for a screen shot).
I’m not sure what you mean “remake your Menus” (sorry, I’m not very tech savvy).
Thanks, Chris

Hey Chris,
It’s hard to see what you are talking about because I do see a number of parent links.
So I’m not sure if I’m seeing updates or not.
But here are some ideas..
to start…
You can not change parent part of the permalink manually on the page, just the end part (usually the page title)… but if you have selected the parent etc… you will see that change on the page in edit mode.
But
Once you hit “update” the permalink should change.

then
https://www.dropbox.com/s/n85sbkfb3l31amy/Screenshot%202018-01-09%2022.03.15.png?dl=0Do you see the new permalink name on the edit page? If YES, perhaps there is some caching going on and you will have to clear it or just wait.
The other thing is you may need to remake your Menus? Have you tried this? At least one page at a time. See if this is the fix.

In reply to: Post Thumbnail Editor Aspect RatioDid that (crop & save) yesterday and didn’t see any changes, but when I opened up today, I found the new images– thank you! I have read the link you sent me, but I don’t find anything about how to set the featured image slider. I know I have to find a number in the URL (which I can’t find) and then set the number of slider images and insert that number. But I can’t find “Create a Featured Slider” under “Appearance.” Where can I find this? Thank you

In reply to: Post Thumbnail Editor Aspect RatioThank you so much for these clear instructions, I am now able to resize as I like. When I crop them, however, I receive proposed sizes with three icons (arrows, save(?), trashcan). None of these seem to save and post the newly cropped photo in my blog. I apologize for all of the questions, but I’m trying to create a featured slider and the video I’m using to instruct me seems to be out-of-date. It uses the Post Thumbnail Editor, but the video doesn’t match what I’m seeing when I try to use it. Thank you
