Looks like I had to set a

as title attribute in the menu settings.

Now it works to some degree but I still have to click up to five times until the dropdown menu is activated.

You were right. My host showed me, how to fix the ownership. Obviously there was a plugin (or hacker) changing the ownership and I had to reset it.

hmmm… I think it’s not about permissions or ownership.
Could update another website to WP 3.9.1, which is localized on the same server.

Any other ideas?

I can easily change the file permissions.
What do you mean by ownership issues?

Also tried to set the file permissions of wp-admin/includes/update-core.php to 777
and got the same error.

Were you successful with the manual update?

Have the same issue.

Got the error first time, when I updated from WC 2.1.6 to 2.1.7
under WP 3.8.2.
The same under WP 3.9

What are we doing wrong?

Have the same, just not the event error.
Only on Chrome. Switched off all other plugins.
Only have this effect, when Background Manager (BG) is activated.
Just deactivated BG in the meantime.

Have the latest WP version + Twenty Twelve.

Could make WooCommerce run on WP 3.8.
Just some product data hasn’t been overtaken and I don’t understand it yet.

For example:
With one product I have 4 in stock, but WooCommerce is not giving me the sizes on the product page, that I can order it.

So WooCommerce is overtaking the inventory but is not activating the sizes on the website. The size dropdown menu is just empty.

It looks like WooCommerce has changed a small thing in the settings.
Do you have any idea?
