In reply to: [Yoast SEO] Attachment /pages archives issueHi Jeroen,
Sorry for the delayed response here.
I tested again with the Theme switched to the default Twenty Twenty Version: 1.5 and the Structured Data Testing Tool says the error was still present here.
I then proceeded to turning the Yoast plugin off. The error is resolved in both situations of using default theme and my own theme here. It seems a conflict with the Yoast plugin here.
Any idea how to resolve this?
Thanks

In reply to: [AMP] Internal Links to other Posts going to Non-Amp PostsThanks Weston,
That seems to have done the trick! I believe Transitional mode caused a bit too much headache with theme issues.

In reply to: [BJ Lazy Load] Placeholder image not excluded on AMPHi,
I noticed that the old problem of displaying the placeholder image on amp images has returned. It doesn’t seem to be skipping amp images again.
I have deactivated the plugin for now.
Please let me know if you get a chance to look into it and fix it.
Thanks
I also noticed this issue when testing with webpagetest.org:
URL: https://i0.wp.com/wp_user_avatar
Loaded By: https://jetpack.wordpress.com/jetpack-comment/?blogid=33853875&postid=12479&comment_registration=0&require_name_email=1&stc_enabled=1&stb_enabled=1&show_avatars=1&avatar_default=wp_user_avatar&greeting=Got+Something+to+Tell%3F&greeting_reply=Leave+a+Reply+to+%25s&color_scheme=transparent&lang=en-US&jetpack_version=3.6.1&sig=c7d7d87d3ec993a741261a234a4cb0714df41e2b:76
Host: i0.wp.com
Error/Status Code: 400It seems Jetpack is still trying to retrieve the gravatars.
It doesn’t seem that WP User Avatar is compatible with Jetpack.
Any help appreciated.
I have been experiencing the same problem and I am yet to receive a response as well.
I can’t recall exactly what caused the problem, but I remember I was having issues with my WordPress SEO Yoast plugin so I was removing unnecessary duplicated coding from the htaccess file. Since then it just refuses to activate.
Eagerly awaiting any help on this topic….

Hi Seocoast,
So I use the defer method and simply copy this into my footer?
<script type=”text/javascript”>
// Add a script element as a child of the body
function downloadJSAtOnload() {
var element = document.createElement(“script”);
element.src = “deferredfunctions.js”;
document.body.appendChild(element);
}// Check for browser support of event handling capability
if (window.addEventListener)
window.addEventListener(“load”, downloadJSAtOnload, false);
else if (window.attachEvent)
window.attachEvent(“onload”, downloadJSAtOnload);
else window.onload = downloadJSAtOnload;</script>
Hi Andrew,
I tried the plugin, it didn’t correct any of the errors I have in Google PageSpeed Insights. It broke my category pages as well!
Thanks Seocoast.
I have a decent level of experience in html and css, but attempting to move all the javascript from all these plugins into the footer sounds tricky. I will give it a shot, I am just wondering if I will have to hunt this java after every plugin update!?
Regards,
Chris
Hi,
I am getting the same errors. I am using W3 Total Cache plugin to speed up my site but I don’t know how to: Eliminate external render-blocking Javascript and CSS in above-the-fold content.
It says: Your page has 16 blocking script resources and 1 blocking CSS resources.
Anyone know how to fix this using this W3 Total Cache plugin. I have tried everything in the minify settings but it breaks my javascript.

In reply to: [Yoast SEO] page-sitemap.xml appears to be 404 not found in Google WebmastersMine has magically started working again too!
I deactivated then activated the plugin and seems to have done the trick, very strange.
Emmppp – Seems unusual. Maybe you should check your head tag to see if your canonical linking is working in the right way, and how you initially submitted your site to webmaster (with or without the www.) Don’t know if they could cause such a problem really, just a wild guess.

In reply to: [Yoast SEO] page-sitemap.xml appears to be 404 not found in Google WebmastersI am having a similar issue. I noticed Yoast sitemaps are returning 404 in webmaster and for some reason it isn’t working for me on my site either. I have looked for suggestions on various forums but nothing is fixing the issue for me.
Would greatly appreciate any help as Yoast seems a better solution to Google XML Sitemaps with it submitting images.

In reply to: [Flare] Facebook 'like' doesn't shareDid you try contacting Flare also? Seems that FB has left a lot of people in the dark with their recent changes to how likeing/sharing works.

In reply to: [Flare] Facebook 'like' doesn't shareSame, I used Addthis a while ago on a few sites I was working on and it never caused any issues.
Using Digg Digg right now because I love the floating display next to articles, Flare was my preferred choice for design but I couldn’t get the Facebook like to work at all. I have ended up turning on the fbShare.me option in Digg Digg as both the IFrame and XFBML Like options won’t work for me in the floating display.
My site is https://www.telltalesonline.com/ (go to any article to see the sharing options). I turned off the Like in the floating display but I really want to get it working. I could add it to a page to show you if you want to see how it reacts?
