We recently put out a refresh of the original Random Redirect, appropriately called “Random Redirect 2” ??
It fixes any of the category issues as well as adds some new parameters like tags, keywords, and dates into the random URL string.

Alex, thanks for the tip. I’ve been upping the PHP RAM, but I’ll try increasing it even more, see if that doesn’t do the trick.

You might want to check out the WP plugin Shadowbox JS
It allows for a lightbox to pop up showing the content of another web page.
