I can’t load it either but I have gotten further than you. Your data base is made in the server. In my case I am simply trying to load WP on my machine to see if I can use it (it is starting to look like this is not what it is hyped up to be, EZ)
any way, I have installed a local server on my machine. I have tried both wamp and Xzmpp and you have to create the data base and then put the name of the data base in wp-config.Forum: Installing WordPress

The tutorial references XP that is why I am asking.
