In reply to: WordPress multi languageHi Andrea,
Can you please tell me as this is my core requirement for my website. I have achieved the backend translation completely.
Please suggest some plugin for front end. Also i have tried WPML but it isnt have support for WPMU. There are chances of qTranslate and Xiligroup plugin for having on WPMU but it is again not documented correctly.

In reply to: WordPress multi languageHi Andrea,
i am having all translations for my frontend. Also Please tell me how to use qtranslate or WPML in case of multisite. As i am not able to get it activated network wide. It gets activated only in admin site not at the users site.
There are global languages in the site that has to be there in all users back end. I have achived it for back end localization. And front end localization is really giving me troubles.

In reply to: WordPress multi languageHi Andrea,
There comes my love…I was awaiting for your response only dear. I have added 2 languages .mo files to “wp-content>languages”.
It gave me option to translate the backend not front end and the posts containing the front end.

In reply to: Using index.php for user blogsHi Andrea,
I have solved the issue using child theme along with new blog defaults plugins assigning the new user blog with a child theme and unavailing the main blog theme network wide.
This way i use main theme for main blog pages and child theme for all user pages.
And now i can have customized sidebar for all users and global blog seperately.
Thanks again for your wonderful support. :)!!!

In reply to: Using index.php for user blogsHi Andrea,
The scenario is
1. I have a site with custom home page (So i controlled it through home.php)
2. The same site has inner pages which contains member directory and aggregated posts page. (For which i have made custom templates)
3. Now, a new user registers for the website and the default theme got activated (having home.php in it).
4. Now, if i click on any user name to go to his own blog. It loads home.php again. (I thought it would load from index.php)
5. And the design for User blog and main blog are different having Header and footer common.
Hope you got what is my requirement. Basically i want to load index.php on user blog page and on home page i want to load home.php
Is there any way to do it or else any other method to achieve this?
And Finally many thanks for helping me so beautifully.
You simply Rock…

In reply to: Global Categories across network please help.Hi Andrea,
I tried New blog defaults plugin and it worked like very good but it gives some errors in the start. I will try to rectify them upto my capacities. But as of now it is working good.
I saw the post at your website. But and i had tried crating site wide tags into mu-plugins folder on my website. But it did not show the plugin in the list in the backend.
Is there need of having mu-plugins folder in new version of WordPress Multisite??
Can you please tell me because i think this plugin is quite useful for me.

In reply to: Global Categories across network please help.Hi Andrea,
Thanks for your fastest response.
I have gone through all these plugins. But i dont had any success with Sitewide tags.
I have installed Menus on my site. It controlls the admin panel for the user’s backend i think.
But What is the use of last plugin. I will surely give it a try.
First problem remains that the users should not be able to create their own categories. They must be able to post in sitewide categories.
Looking forward for your response.
Samir.
