In reply to: [Blighty Explorer] Fatal error when linking Dropbox, invalid access tokenHi Chris,
After I’d done the bex_reset, my client was able to authenticate his Dropbox correctly. He’s tested the page on which I put [bex_upload] and [bex_folder] – https://pda.lancs.sch.uk/staff/staff-portal/ . It all seems to work fine. The page is password protected; if you need to look at it, I’ll send you the password.
Am I right in thinking that the correct way to switch to a different Dropbox account is first to bex_reset and then enter the new account details?
We’re happy that it works, so this topic can probably be closed.
Thanks for your very prompt and effective help!Glyn

In reply to: [Blighty Explorer] Fatal error when linking Dropbox, invalid access tokenHi Chris,
The bex_reset worked fine; it got rid of the error message and the configuration page displayed again. Thanks for that!
However, when I entered my client’s Dropbox details (correctly!) in the “Authenticate with Dropbox” dialog, I get an “incorrect username or password” error. I’ll reset again and get my client to Authenticate from his machine. Can’t do that till next Monday, though. I’ll let you know what happens…
By the way, I initially tried to change the connection with my personal Dropbox account to my client’s by clicking “Authenticate with Dropbox” on the Settings page then entering the new details in the following screen.

In reply to: [Customizr] Customizr Home page slider too high – images clippedThank you, d4z_c0nf. Thanks for the explanation; it was a big help. It’s all much clearer now. I hadn’t realised that centring was vertical, not horizontal…
I’ve made some adjustments to the images; they’re all on a background size 1170x500px now. I’ve re-enabled the slide centring feature: everything looks OK.
I think that’s my problem resolved, thanks to you!Forum: Themes and Templates
In reply to: [Customizr] Customizr Home page slider too high – images clippedd4z_c0nf,
Sizes of images on bdpdesign.org slider are all: 920x500px; sizes of images on chorleyps.org (which works) are 1170x500px.
I’ll try making the bdpdesign images 1170×500 and see if I can then re-enable the slide centring feature.
If you still can’t access bdpdesign.org, d4z_c0nf, it may be because its instance of Wordfence blocks all countries outside the UK. I can fix access for you, temporarily, if you like.Forum: Themes and Templates
In reply to: [Customizr] Customizr Home page slider too high – images clippedAh, yes. Wordfence doesn’t recognise friendly visitors!
I’ll check out the image sizes tomorrow; thanks for the suggestion. I know that all my other Customizr sites have the right sized slider images; bdpdesign was my very first Customizr site, so I may have got the sizes wrong. Strange that it should have displayed OK until recently, though. I’ll post the image sizes here tomorrow…Forum: Themes and Templates
In reply to: [Customizr] Customizr Home page slider too high – images clippedOK. That seems to have worked!
Thanks, d4z_c0nf
However, My other sites (e.g. https://chorleyps.org ) have the slide centering feature enabled and don’t exhibit the same behavior.Forum: Plugins

In reply to: [Customizr] Image Size in SliderThis has been driving me mad! No matter what size i made the images, they still got cropped when I used them in the front page slider.
I finally used this workaround:
Using Photoshop I made a new PS document 1170x500px with a transparent background. Then I resized the images I wanted to use on the slider to be 400px high. I copied each one onto a transparent 1170x500px background, leaving a blank 100px border at the bottom. Saved as JPEG and uploaded into media. i’ve used two such images today on https://www.bdponline.org. They work for me, both with full screen slider option turned off or left on.
It’s a messy way to do it, but it gives me the effect I wanted.
I hope this helps (I also hope that someone will find a code solution that works!)Forum: Plugins

You’re right — it was a cache issue. It works beautifully now.
Thanks again for your help…

Thanks for the prompt response.
That works fine on Firefox, but doesn’t seem to in Opera, IE or Chrome.
…or is it just me?

In reply to: [Simply Poll] Using Simply Poll on your live site?Is it possible to make the poll box wider?
It would be nice to have the text to the right of each button, not below.
On my page: https://www.chorleyps.org/?page_id=2212 the box is too narrow to display the text next to the buttons. Can it be widened?
