Ug. Animated gifs? Really? I thought we left those in the 90’s.

Looks like no time at all was spent designing this. As a web designer, it makes me sad to see stuff like this being done, but also happy because it makes my stuff look much better.

Nobody gives a crap if your site validates or not. Especially considering it is almost impossible to validate when using css3 properties as you are. Maybe it’s important where Andrew works that his code validates, but in the real-world it’s usually not of any concern.

• Looks good. I like the simple design.
• Loads slowly. I assume this is on shared hosting which will explain the lag when loading. Sometimes times out without loading entire page.
• “Comments RSS” link in footer goes to broken/missing page
• I like the use of shortcodes
• Good job on making it device responsive. All sites built nowadays should be doing this.

Overall, I think it’s a nice clean responsive design. Good work.

Provided your theme is using the default menu function, you can add items to the nav by going to Appearance>Menus in the admin. There you should see where you can add items to the nav, name, and order them.

What kind of framework? A lot of newer themes will most likely be using a css framework. I’ve become a big fan of Twitter Bootstrap most recently.

You can tell if Flash being used a couple of ways.

• Right-click on anything that looks “Flashy”. If the Flash utility menu appears, you’ve got Flash. If it doesn’t then no flash is used.
• You can also view the code source in your browser. Search for Flash stuff like “object”, “embed”, “swf”, “flv”, and “f4v”. If you can’t find any of these words, probably isn’t any flash

I looked at the demo you provided and was not able to find any flash elements being used. However, I suppose the safest and most sure way to know is by asking the author.

If you have root access, you can change the document root in the virtual host in your Apache configuration file.
