    Hi thanks for the link. I’m checking out the plugin linked on there to see if that works instead. Unfortunately setting the visibility to only work on Product Archive Pages would be too board… essentially that would mean the widget would only be visible on all or none of the woocommerce related pages instead of just the Shop page etc..

    Sorry I accidentally deleted the image, hence why you couldn’t see it. In any case, I’ve moved them to dropbox and added more screenshots to clarify the widgets and settings.

    Hi,

    Thanks and I’ve changed the order, but that didn’t make any difference.

    Also it would be nice if you could drag and drop to set the order… or if they auto grouped into order to match the Category hierarchy. In more complex scenarios, it would be quite hard to read through and find the setting you need to change with the current setup.

    Check it out… on a brand new variable product it works: https://chipx.co.nz/shop/work-holding/test-talon/

    It seems as though deselecting a product variations’ Enable check box, saving, then deleting that variation doesn’t re-write the values in the database tables correctly.

    Anyway…. why should one variation being disabled stop all of the other enabled variations from displaying correctly? That seems completely dumb, and contradicts the user interface suggestion that you can enable some variations but not others.

    At least I can move forward now, the dev team really need to look into this.

    Thank you SO MUCH for your investigative work @lorro, you’re a legend.

    Published == enabled checkbox…

    I had a variation loaded at one point which I deselected Enabled for. Because I wasn’t ready for it to appear on the page yet. I’ve since deleted it. I wonder if something got stuck in the database as a result of that for this particular variable product.

    Thank you for digging into that for me, much appreciated!! I’ll see if I create another one from scratch if it happens again. It would be nice if a developer dug into your findings as well. Very interesting.

    @lorro
    That’s how back orders work. Notice the Allow Backorders but notify setting… Also there are several other variable products on our site with those settings and they work just fine.

    And those settings don’t change if I set all the products to have the same price… and yet at that point it starts working.

    I’m just really disappointed in woocommerce at this point, because this is a relatively common issue by the look of it, and no one who works on Woo dev has commented or tried to help here. Which really just highlights that we should probably be using something else moving forward. I’d pay for woocommerce support if they even had that as an option.

    Ok this is fairly serious. And thanks for weighing in Missminx. I’m glad I’m not the only one. I just can’t see any differences between this product and the ones I created a few months back which worked just fine. I don’t want to take the SEO hit of creating a bunch of very similar Simple Products.

    Allow Back orders is turned on, and they are all set to a Stock Status of In Stock.

    If that were the case, then why would using the ‘Set Regular Prices’ command to set all variants to use the same price, cause it to work correctly?

    Anyway, here is a screen shot showing how all the variants are setup:

    This is just me being a N00b… cross sells only appear in the cart. Related Products is what I’m seeing, and that’s just because they share the same tags.

    I’m having the same issue… it hasn’t updated for days and there have been visitors… check it out on https://chipx.co.nz

    I’ve mucked about with the settings, but there are loads of newer IG images tagged with #Swiftcarb and they aren’t showing up. Would you mind taking a look please?

    It looks like you’ve edited your response, since you were asking for a link. I’ve just tried your demo site again and it seems to be working now. Did you fix it?

    Thread Starter chipx

    (@chipx)

    let me know when you’ve fixed it and I’ll revisit reviewing your plugin for use on our site.

    Hey lynuz,

    cheers for sharing that line of code.

    The CSS in the next post didn’t work for me, but the normal customiser did the trick anyway.
