@webraketen to exclude everything but first paragraph would be too much to exclude. On the other side, it would be enough to setup an ID or XPath to the paragraph, which should contain links.
Placing important links in the first content paragraph is a mighty SEO hint. I would like to hear you get this feature request on your backlog.

But it should be still possible to edit slugs without plugins, like

• /shop/ to /s/,
• /product-category/ to /c/
• /product/ to /p/

?

Or am I wrong?

If such edits are possible, so I rather accept such slugs, then cleaner slugs with performance issues ??

I’m trying to understand, what does it mean in terms of performance: are there additional database queries or more code loops or what kind of work is WP forced to do here?
