In the Moving wordpress: “It is important that you set the URI locations BEFORE you move the files.” Or my files are there. I do not change phisical location and do not want to do it, I do not move!! and I do not want to enter into problems. My provider serveur is Linux but it will be a pain and almost impossible to involve the support to put in place the shortcut!

And for the Changing the site URL: I have asked my questions above.
I only want to change the URI location which now is physical to the same than the blog URL which point to this URL location. Is this considered as a move. THe files are there. It is not a move! THe physical location and the URL are the same now.

I am really, really frightened even with backups and I would like to have a satisfactory answer. The codex is not explicit enough: too much different things aplying to too much different cases which does not look exactly like mine. Do I try in my case
1) to modify the Location URI to the NDDnew
2)apply the quick fix method step by step and afterwards mothing else to do?
That’s what I want to know!!!
I understand nothing about what is going on with these 2.7.1 new administration programs and I know nothing but theory about data bases!

OK, I solve it :
1) I changed only the blog adress to deniswebb-blog.com
since in fact the index.php is at this address
2) I modified the .htaccess file so that the rewrite base is / instead of
/word-blog and the rewrite rule rewrites . to /index.php !

And it works without any ather rewrite rules contrarily th the version 2.1.
THe only drawback is that the admin is always with the address
deniswebb.fr/word-blog, I do not dare to change the wordpress address!
But I don’t really care.

I worked one week on this problem and as always in Computer science the solution is less complicated than you think. Hopefully this will help somebody else. !
