This is a step-by-step of what I did:
1.) Activate the plug-in for Child Theme Configurator. (https://www.childthemeconfigurator.com/how-to-use/)
2.) It didn’t automatically copy over the .php files from the parent theme so I did that manually by going to Tools > Child Themes > Files tab. Select all the .php files and click the Copy Selected to Child Theme button.
3.) Go to Appearance > Editor. Make sure you are editing the child theme. Look for the part-social-sharing.php file on the right. Select it. Remove everything from inside.
