In reply to: Pages look different on my mobileHello again, thanks for your reply ??
All my images seem to load ok, except for the ones associated with my “prices”.
Basically, when you click on any of the 6 links in my ‘prices’ section (https://www.learnandspeakenglish.co.uk/#focus), it brings up a page showing 3 images, and they’re ALWAYS BLURRY. If you click on one of them, it brings up a page with the same image, which ISN’T BLURRY. And if you navigate back to the original picture, it’s NO LONGER BLURRY. Basically, it’s the initial picture that’s always blurry.
I would send you a screenshot – but i don’t know how… ??
Thanks

In reply to: Pages look different on my mobileExcellent, that worked perfectly, thank you !! ??
Do you know anything about pictures? All of them are fine except the ones in my prices section. They are clear on the mobile, but sometimes they are blurry on the PC. Usually, the first time a picture has to load, it’s blurry – but the second time it’s clear.
Any ideas?

In reply to: Pages look different on my mobileHi. Thanks, it now looks a lot better ??
When I took away this empty paragraph it then combined my picture and text at the same level ?? but when I adjusted the size of the picture, the text shifted back down ??
There is one thing I couldn’t figure out though – the space between my heading and bullet points is too big on my PC and mobile (landscape view)… FYI. It’s ok on my mobile in portrait mode.
Here’s the code:
<span style=”text-decoration: underline;”>We have years of business experience in the UK to draw from, including:</span>
?meetings and conferences
Any ides?Hi Rodica
I deactivated Jetpack, and my mobile site went back to normal ??
Better still, I reactivated afterwards (expecting the problem to reappear) but it didn’t ??
Many thanks Rodica, have a great weekend.
Best regards,
Peter

In reply to: Button dissappears off mobile screen Zerif Lite??
But now I’ve found a different problem.. I’ve been searching for a solution for 2 hours but haven’t found anything specific to my issue. So…
Everything was ok until my friend told me he can’t use the Contact Form on IE8..
Error message “Sorry, an error occurred. Enter a valid email.”
I think it’s a Pirate form (that came with the Zerif-Lite theme).
Any ideas…?

In reply to: How to centre text / forms on my mobile – Zerif-liteThe problem with IE8 is actually that the contact form doesn’t work…

You don’t have any solutions do you…? I’ve searched but can’t find anything.

In reply to: How to centre text / forms on my mobile – Zerif-liteThank you – another success !!
However, my site only looks perfect on my PC (with Windows 10)… My friend is using IE8 and he tells me it’s off-centre on his PC…
Any idea why?

In reply to: Button dissappears off mobile screen Zerif LiteI’ve fixed it !!!!!!!! ?? ??
I found this website, and followed the advice (even though it seemed a bit strange)
https://www.skyverge.com/blog/wordpress-pretty-category-permalinks-broken-and-fixed/
The Solution
1.Go to Settings > Permalinks and click “Save Settings”
2.Go to SEO > Permalinks and click “Save Settings”I hope this will add to your amazing knowledge and will help you help others ??

In reply to: Button dissappears off mobile screen Zerif LiteThanks, I’ve done all that before but it doesn’t look good – the links are still the best option (when they actually work…).
Take a look at my site now – I’ve put the products there instead of the links. You can see what I mean about it not looking good… I can’t find a way of putting the pictures in a grid or arranging the text (to make it look nicer)…
If you know how to make it all look nice – let me know ??
In the meantime, I will restore the plugins (as I’ve just seen your other response).
Thanks again for all your help Faycal ??

In reply to: Button dissappears off mobile screen Zerif LiteThanks, I added a new category (Test) and assigned a product to it, but when I clicked on it, I was sent to the home page again ??
I have a plugin (Updraft Plus) and it backed up my site at 4pm yesterday – do you think it’s worth restoring my site and then recreating all the work I did?
If so,I can restore one or all of the below elements:
Plugins
Themes
Uploads
Others
DatabaseIs it likely that it is only one of these that needs restoring (meaning I don’t have to restore and lose anything by restoring the others)?

In reply to: Button dissappears off mobile screen Zerif LiteHi Faycal
That’s because I’ve run into a huge problem… After trying to install a couple of plugins to try and create a ‘shop’ in Prices section I found that clicking on those 6 links just took me back to my home page…
So I deactivated and deleted the plugsins – but I was left with the same problem. Aaaarrrgggghhhh!
I contacted my provided who said this:
I was able to recreate the issue on my end and I tried to resolve it but to no avail. During my investigation I have deactivated most of the recently installed, activated and updated plugins, upgraded and downgraded the PHP version, flushed the server cache and looked in our server records and I was not able to find any server side which may lead to the issue at hand. All changes made on your site on my end are now reverted.
So even after all of that, I STILL have the problem ?? ??
They suggested I ask the WordPress community, and because you are my new hero, I’m asking you first ??
What do you suggest…?

In reply to: How to centre text / forms on my mobile – Zerif-liteThanks ! I just copy and pasted the new text into my child theme – and hey presto ??
My problem now though, is the text (which are links) in my Prices section – has shifted too far to the right…
What might help explain it is that the text has always been a little too far to the right (on my laptop) – and now this is being mirrored on the phone.
The question is: do you know why…?
FYI. The text (which are links) comes from a Woocommerce widget called Product Categories.
