Unable to merge cells when using advanced table

Currently I have Advanced Gutenberg V1.10.7 installed on my wordpress site. I created an advanced table and selected two cells by holding down CTRL. I then wanted to merge those to cells but unfortunately that option was greyed out in the menu.
