Ok, thank you very much for your help.

The issue is with android mobile, and the ones I’ve used on AWS are using a Chrome browser.

However, prompted by your suggestion, I set up a separate test page (using Elementor) on the live site with nothing but the button to open the Hustle Popup containing the Forminator form…. and it worked!!

So it’s definitely a conflict with something on the main page and, as you say, not something to do with your plugins – sorry to have taken up your time.

I will run a plugin conflict test on a staging site and report back when I’ve found the culprit for anyone else having the same problem if I’m still able to…

    Thanks again for your help!

    Hi Nithin

Thank you for looking at this.

Yes, so far I’ve only had the problem with Android forms – it’s worked fine on my PC, iPad and iPhone – and it was fine on iPhone on AWS too.

I can set up a staging site but, if it was a plugin conflict, wouldn’t it be the same for all devices?

    Thanks

Hi Patrick, and thanks for your speedy response and assistance.

No, I don’t have any other plugins installed that use recaptcha – to the best of my knowledge, at least. I assume I’d know if I had enabled it as I’d have had to give them the Site/Secret key.

I was using WPForms with reCaptcha before I switched to Hustle/Forminator, but that’s now deleted. I requested that all data was removed upon deletion too, for fear it might leave something behind that would cause a conflict if I didn’t, but could the script you’ve found be from that?

I do use Google Maps on the page (click on ‘Our Main Location’ towards the top of the page), but that’s HTML code with an iFrame.

Will look forward to hearing further from you…

It’s Hustle actually – not Branda – that Forminator is working brilliantly with (without the headaches I’ve had with other solutions).

But I’m getting the feeling all your plugins will work with each other, from what I’ve seen so far, so I’m sure Branda would be just as good!!!

You have a WPMU fan here… your plugins have solved a lot of problems I had. I wouldn’t hesitate to try others, if I needed them.

This looks like a response for dashboard purposes, ie just to show you’ve answered….

Didn’t see it in the latest update…..

Ok, that’s brilliant – thank you!

I’ll look out for the functionality when I see an update for your plugin!!

    All the best

Ok, thank you. The plugin is actually called ‘Error Log Monitor’, and it’s by Janis Elsts.

I’m having problems with resource usage, so I’m obviously looking at any issues I see in case they are contributing to it.

    Again, many thanks

    Hello,
I have the Error Log Monitor Plugin installed, and it displays PHP errors in the Dashboard. Yes, wp_debug is enabled in wp_config.php.

    Many thanks

Hi, and thanks for your reply.

I found a plugin that would add the target=”_blank” attribute whilst I was waiting for a response from you. It’s not a long-term solution, though, as I don’t need it for anything else and I’m having resource issues with my hosting.

So, yes, I would very much appreciate your help if there’s a way this can be done without another plugin!

    Many thanks again

Hello, and thanks for your response.

The modal was always working, it was the icons that were causing problems. I eventually discovered the issue was to do with Elementor Experiments – if you enable the ‘font awesome inline’, it causes the icons in EAE to distort – or rather, I think the container stretches for some reason. Hopefully, this will enable you to replicate the problem at least. I have the latest version of both Elemtentor and EAE.

With regards to the content-switcher, I did try disabling other plugins – and making sure I only had the elements I was actually using activated on the two addon packs I use – but I wasn’t able to fix it. At least not so it would work reliably. I’ve therefore had to go for an alternative as I can’t have it not working reliably on a live site.

    Hello again
Apologies, I thought I’d responded to this yesterday but it looks like I must have got distracted before I sent it!

Thanks for your response and feedback. Regarding point 6:

    6. If you don’t exclude sticky posts, you should get default WP behaviour which is to put the sticky post at the top of the list – is that no what you are seeing?

I haven’t excluded sticky posts, and I’ve checked that the post I would like at the start is set as a sticky post – and that it’s the only one! In your layout preview, it shows at the beginning but it doesn’t on the frontend. It’s not a huge issue for me at the moment (due to implementing a little differently until you have a solution for the pagination issue), but it would be nice if it was at the beginning – and I guess it could be a bigger issue for others?

    Thanks again.

Ok, thank you. Those options sound a little beyond me just at the moment but at least telling me that has saved me spending days failing to find a solution!!

I can completely understand what you say about having to do things in the right order, and I do love your plugin (and your kind responsiveness to enquiries!), so I think I’ll just do it a bit differently until you’re able to implement a robust solution!

    Kind regards

    Hey, thanks for the response.

Yes, the plugin I was referring to was SlidersPack, which I’ve used for the image sliders on the homepage. It’s a one-page site, so everything originates from the homepage!!

Anyway, that at least explains what’s happening and it’s good to hear you’re thinking of something that will eventually overcome the issue. It’s obviously a potential issue for anyone that wants to put your custom layout grid anywhere but at the top of the page and, from what I can see, it’s not uncommon. I’ve come across plenty of queries where people are wanting to do this with other grids/sliders and have hit the same issue – sadly, none with solutions that I have been able to implement with your plugin!

Are you able to point me in the direction of anything I can do to address this in the meantime? I have seen a couple of possible solutions:
    1. Change the link to “#/”, although this was suggested in the context of stopping scrolling so perhaps it won’t work in this situation?
    2. Using coding to prevent default behaviour. I have Code Snippets and FTP (and a backup of the site, obviously) so I’d be willing to give this a go as an interim/temporary fix but I have no idea which file it needs to go in – or if it will work!!!

Any help with this much appreciated!

    Kind regards
    C
