Thank you! Found it. It was the theme. Switched it off and then on. Strange but that was all.
I’m not a programmer but I have this hunch that the Multi-site is the reason of the problem.
Forgot to mention: it is a multi-site installation.

In reply to: [Namaste! LMS] Plugin activation produces fatal errorthank you very much!
I also have another site (where I have them already installed) and a lot of work done in there. The plugins are already active. Also a multisite. Now they need to be updated. There is no option to perform the update from the site. Only from the network. I hesitate to update. Should I go ahead?

In reply to: [Namaste! LMS] Plugin activation produces fatal errorThe same problem again.
In a new installation (multisite again) and after I have deleted BuddyPress, I attempt to activate Namaste and Watu and it refuses. Gives the message: “Plugin could not be activated because it triggered a?fatal error.”
Looking into the error-logs I see the following (under Showing latest entries for file:?/home2/brixfax1/public_html/testsites/test01/wp-admin/network/error_log):
[19-Jul-2023 15:46:08 UTC] PHP Fatal error: Uncaught Error: Undefined constant “NAMASTE_STUDENT_COURSES” in /home2/brixfax1/public_html/testsites/test01/wp-content/plugins/namaste-lms/models/namaste-model.php:16Stack trace:#0 /home2/brixfax1/public_html/testsites/test01/wp-includes/class-wp-hook.php(308): NamasteLMS::install(true)#1 /home2/brixfax1/public_html/testsites/test01/wp-includes/class-wp-hook.php(332): WP_Hook->apply_filters(”, Array)#2 /home2/brixfax1/public_html/testsites/test01/wp-includes/plugin.php(517): WP_Hook->do_action(Array)#3 /home2/brixfax1/public_html/testsites/test01/wp-admin/includes/plugin.php(691): do_action(‘activate_namast…’, true)#4 /home2/brixfax1/public_html/testsites/test01/wp-admin/plugins.php(58): activate_plugin(‘namaste-lms/nam…’, ‘https://brixfax…’, true)#5 /home2/brixfax1/public_html/testsites/test01/wp-admin/network/plugins.php(13): require(‘/home2/brixfax1…’)#6 {main}thrown in /home2/brixfax1/public_html/testsites/test01/wp-content/plugins/namaste-lms/models/namaste-model.php on line 16[19-Jul-2023 15:47:42 UTC] PHP Fatal error: Uncaught Error: Undefined constant “WATU_EXAMS” in /home2/brixfax1/public_html/testsites/test01/wp-content/plugins/watu/watu.php:191Stack trace:#0 /home2/brixfax1/public_html/testsites/test01/wp-includes/class-wp-hook.php(308): watu_activate(true)#1 /home2/brixfax1/public_html/testsites/test01/wp-includes/class-wp-hook.php(332): WP_Hook->apply_filters(”, Array)#2 /home2/brixfax1/public_html/testsites/test01/wp-includes/plugin.php(517): WP_Hook->do_action(Array)#3 /home2/brixfax1/public_html/testsites/test01/wp-admin/includes/plugin.php(691): do_action(‘activate_watu/w…’, true)#4 /home2/brixfax1/public_html/testsites/test01/wp-admin/plugins.php(58): activate_plugin(‘watu/watu.php’, ‘https://brixfax…’, true)#5 /home2/brixfax1/public_html/testsites/test01/wp-admin/network/plugins.php(13): require(‘/home2/brixfax1…’)#6 {main}thrown in /home2/brixfax1/public_html/testsites/test01/wp-content/plugins/watu/watu.php on line 191

In reply to: [Namaste! LMS] Awfully slow.I found the culprit: I set the “The following quiz must be completed:” to “-No Quiz required-” and now it loads in about 4sec, which I find reasonable.

In reply to: [StudyPress] could not activateA couple of Questions though:
1. what is the purpose of domain under StudyPress. What can it be used for?
2. are there shortcodes? If yes can I have a list of the available shortcodes?
3. is it possible for a registered and logedon user to continue from where he left off last time?
4. exactly which plugin do you recommend for “-Multi teachers support by integrating wordpress author user role”. Is it the “User role editor” or some other?
5. are there any notes or some sort of manual for this plugin?Thank you very much.

In reply to: [CoursePress Learning Management System] shortcodes?I now notice that there are some other problems as well:
-
cannot add new pages
dashboard doesn’t show up
cannot change permalinks anymoreI don’t really expect a reply. I can understand you must be very busy. I think I’ll just try a fresh installation until it works.
thanx again.

In reply to: [CoursePress Learning Management System] shortcodes?Dear Bojan,
I finally made the updates. Even some of the shortcodes work now. So I guess I will just have to learn how to use them.
My only problem now (but I don’t really know if it is a problem) is that I don’t see the user types “student”, “lecturer” that existed in the past. But like I said maybe this is not a problem at all.
thanx again!
