Well, actually I have set and reset it several times, so I’ve used both (my own bit.ly account with an API key), and (accidentally, when I forgot to enter my info) the standard (yours)! Both of them seem to default to the respective wso shortener (w.wso.li and wso.li). So I guess that means it’s failing in either instance (selecting “bit.ly” and “Your own bit.ly configuration”), correct? In any case, thanks for looking into this so quickly! I’m using WordSocial (on WP 3.3.1). It integrates with Press-This, and allows you to simultaneously post to Twitter, Facebook and LinkedIn (unfortunately no Google+ at the moment, but to my understanding that is due to Google making their API read only, so an autopost plugin is not possible..yet). WordSocial even allows you to append keywords to each social media outlet individually. I’m still running into a few bugs (possibly from conflicting plugins), but in general it does a good job!
