    Thankfully after near a month of my variables, add to cart button and other ills that plagued my site, the 2.4.7 WC update fixed everything.

    Thank you devs for the fix! I only wish it had come sooner…

    krishna89, I never thought it could be the enqueue for the stylesheet. Guess I better figure out how to enqueue it now cuz I can’t even get the add to cart button to come up. That of course is causing me sales. ??

    Well it took some time, but I finally found and tweaked what was needed to remove the shipping method label. Whew!

    Can’t say this will work for you, but here’s what I did:

    1. In your child theme functions.php file place this

    add_filter( 'woocommerce_cart_shipping_method_full_label', 'remove_label', 10, 2 );

    function remove_label($label, $method) {
    $new_label = preg_replace( '/^.+:/', '', $label );
    return $new_label;
    }

    If needed, add following to child custom.css

    2. If your Cart Totals S/H amount doesn’t align properly (change px amount to work for you)

    .cart_totals table tbody tr.shipping span.amount {
        margin-left: 9px;
    }

    3. If your Checkout S/H amount doesn’t align properly (change px amount to work for you)

    div#order_review table.shop_table tfoot tr.shipping span.amount {
        margin-left: 9px;
    }

    David, I’m glad you brought this up. I too am seeking a hook/filter to have Yoast see/use the short description. On my photography sites, I have just an image in the main description and place text in the short description.

    All of my main site pages are green, but my image pages are orange, none are green. The biggest hit is few words in body copy and no links. It doesn’t matter how many words/links I put in the “short” description it is not seen. That would then reflect poorly and hurt the SEO correct?

    I look forward to seeing what folks come up with to include the short description text as if it were the main.

    Well changing the framework didn’t help. When I uploaded images via plugin, it added a copy of the original and a 1 was added to all versions on my server. So I restored my entire site/database back to before this was all happening, still same issue.

    When I add Media via WP, all is normal. I’m at a loss as to why this is happening now or what to try next… Any suggestions? Thanks!

    FYI… Your plugin works fine on my site running WP 3.8.4, but not now on 3.9.2 for whatever reason. ?? BTW, both sites run on the same web host account/server.

    My apologies, I should’ve stated I haven’t installed your plugin yet. First I was going to see if the restore to the old theme version will cure my issue.

    I just restored back and will be trying an image to see if that enlargement of file size is corrected. Once I see if that works, then I’ll install your plugin.

    Just wanted to be sure it wouldn’t touch images that didn’t need it or I didn’t want touched. ??

    Main image has aldready been optimized maybe and other versions are not optimized so wpfc optimizes the versions of image.

    To be sure I’m following you here, do you mean your plugin will not touch images that are already optimized?

    My issue: The images I upload to my server are already optimized by me; small file size (well under 50KB) and images no larger than 600×400. Yet the WP versions of those images are larger in file size. i.e. original upload 600×400 = 42KB, WP version 476×328 = 50KB. (NOTE: I upload my images to server via cPanel, then to WP using Add from Server plugin)

    I think this is due to an update of my theme, which I’m going to try and revert back to the older one today. If that doesn’t cure my issue, I will need something to fix it.

    Also can I opt not to optimize images? Does your plugin optimize only those that need it and/or those I choose? Thanks!

    Thanks for the reply Dion! I think I know why this is happening.

    WooThemes updated their theme Framework to 6.x and I think that is not playing nicely with Add from Server now. I’m going to try reverting back to the old Framework 5.x tomorrow and see if that fixes the issues.

    I used to only have 4 different sized images of one on my server. Now when I upload via Add from Server it gives me 7! But the worst part is all the different sizes of my original now carry a 1 after the file name. ie. image.jpg = image1.jpg, image1-90×90.jpg, image1-150×150.jpg etc. Grrrrrrr!!!

    I’ll report back my findings once I know something definitive. Thanks!

    sitodemmers not sure I’m following correctly, but if you are on the Add from Server screen, then upload images they won’t show up automatically. You need to close out of the Add Media > Add from Server box and click on Add Media button again. Hope this helps

    You’re most welcome, glad that helped!

    I have fixed this issue and thank Roy again for trying to help me.

    First made sure I had a backup of my accounts. This is what I did next:

    I deactivated WC plugin in my admin dashboard (did NOT delete!), then via FTP deleted Roy’s aforementioned plugin from my server. Then I deleted the WC 2.2.10 folder and uploaded WC 2.2.8 folder I got from WP. Problem still wasn’t corrected, so I deactivated WC which took my site down. That was strange to say the least! In turn that caused an error log in the theme functions php.

    I deleted that code and reactivated WC. YAY! All is well again after hours of messing with this. Site is up (which will work with WC deactivated) and WC working!

    Though it only took near a day of working on this, sure glad it’s fixed and I can move on with setting up my shop ??

    (In case anyone is wondering; by following the steps above, all my attributes/categories remained. Sure glad about that!)

    Roy my WooTheme Mystile is up-to-date and I’m confused by your statement. If no one customized/modified their theme, all web sites would look about the same (per each theme) except for site name and content. That would make for a pretty dull internet would it not?

    I personally like Mystile, not just cuz it’s free, but it doesn’t have a lot of extra stuff as with other themes I’ve tried. To me more stuff can mean more headaches.

    I just hate that if one updates/upgrades pretty much anything, a few to a large number of things can go wrong. My site previously to updating WC, worked just fine w/o any script errors.

    Heck I have very little done to this site, compared to my other one. BTW, my backup works on that other site, so it’s prolly a glitch with upgrading my account to Pro. Go figure right? Another upgrade is what caused my site to go down.

    I’m going to delete WC and try an older version to see if it works. Any ideas on the correct way to save all the Attributes/Categories I’ve already spent hours on putting into WC? I’d like to import them to same more time wasted and I’m on a Mac if that makes a difference. Thanks!

    Thanks for the reply adogam, but I deactivated all my plugins and that didn’t help.

    As Roy stated and I found by trying it out, it all works in 2012 theme. So it’s the WooTheme or WC update or a combination of both

    What I mean by “Perhaps all my troubles are due to WooThemes” is…

    Both sites work fine in 2014 or 2012, but this site WC doesn’t work properly and on the other site it throws a 500 server error with using WooThemes Mystile

    Thread Starter CharlyIBC

    (@charlyibc)

    Dumped Quick Cache
    Installed/Activated 2012
    Variations, etc. works

    Went back to Mystile (WooThemes) saw a framework update, installed, activated Mystile and WC doesn’t work again. ??

    Yanno I just reactivated my license even though it’s a free theme.

    I actually have another site which is “down” due to a web hosting account upgrade (we think). Perhaps all my troubles are due to WooThemes….

    Again thanks for your assistance!
