My apologies for not reading the rules and stepping out of line

I thank everyone for their attempt to help! Right now my head is about to explode and getting my store up is far more important than creating a child. I’ll just keep copies of everything until I have the time to waste on a child. ??

Thanks for the replies! I just got off the phone with my web host. They tried to help me out, but no joy. So perhaps Photolistic cannot have a child theme. ??

webbrewers ~ Indeed, I had it wrong and they even sent me the proper link to copy/paste into my style.css and it still doesn’t work.

PVWD ~ Rename the parent or child functions.php?

Geeez that took to long to find out. ?? My web host says there’s no server cashing done. I emptied the cache for FF but no joy. Tried Safari, no joy there either. They told me my import url was missing things, I fixed it, but still no joy. Gosh I didn’t think it would be this difficult to set up a child.

No I added the favicon that I put into the original theme functions.php I removed that but still no joy

Yes back to photolistic-child

In my directory, I created a photolistic-child folder. In it I added 2 files: style.css and functions.php While in the photolistic-child style.css file I added what the link told me to: Theme, template, etc. Then I put in @import url(“https://myurl.com/photolistic/style.css”); Not sure what I did that caused an error.

I thought by using the @import would bring everything over from the main theme style.css Do I really need to build the child from scratch? I don’t have the time at the moment…. Not to mention I’m clueless on how… ??

Well now I’ve screwed everything up…. I created the theme child and activated but it’s a blank page. Now I cannot deactivate it… All my work and can’t go back?

Well I did get that to work, once I did a restart. Most of my pages are now centered, though one of them is thrown off center to the right. Hopefully I can fix that w/o too much trouble. ??

One last thing: When I visit something/page and then go back, there’s this dashed box around what I clicked on; menu link or image within my shop. I’ve cannot figure out what is causing this or how to stop it. ??

Thanks! Ummm… you stated to my Custom CSS, so not to my Stylesheet? If that’s the case, where would one find their Custom CSS within WP.

I added the code to my style.css, no joy. ??

Cashie Commerce fixed a glitch with my WP plugin from them. Thus I could then change colors through it. ??

I cannot see a way to edit/delete, my apologies. I have resolved this on my own. Perhaps a moderator can delete it for me? Thanks!
