Hi Matteo,

just to let you know that this issue has been resolved.

The site is hosted on wpengine.com and the problem was due to their server caching.

To fix the problem, wpengine.com support had to exclude the path from their cache to ensure every visit is new and not cached (on the plugin path only).

Hope this helps someone else with the same problem.

To use externally hosted mp3’s…

– Within the post or page editor, select ‘Add Media’ (top left).
– Select ‘Insert from URL’ (left of screen).
– In ‘Enter the URL’ enter link of your externally hosted mp3 file.
– Under ‘Title’ enter title of the audio track. This is what your site visitors will see.
