I have been using Generatepress for a couple of years no problems at all worth reporting. The support I have received has been second to none. I use all the Generatepress and Generate Blocks components. Does everything I want.

I have been using Generatepress and GenerateBlocks for a while and have been very impressed with the support. I do not begrudge the pricing policy which they employ whatsoever. It is the best supported software I have ever purchased. If you do not want it, do not buy it. There are now 6 blocks in the Pro version which is chargeable. I am not an expert in WordPress plugins but the team at Generatepress do a good job swiftly and I am very happy to keep supporting their work.

Alan many thanks for taking time to provide such a detailed reply. I have only just seen it when I came back to post an update to my post.
I noticed that in Media Library Folders plugin there is a reset option (next to the recycle bind) and clicking a folder to highlight it and then select all images and click the Regenerate thumbnail images and that fixes the problem pictures.

My only contribution is thumbnail is missing the b in thumb.

I have some more websites to move I will try your method as I have started off moving the sites with the fewest pictures / pages.
In my case I am only moving the website from a Windows 2012 server to a new Ubuntu site with the same domain names i.e. all the urls are intended to remain the same.

This is a great plugin I highly recommend.

I tried the uninstall and then reinstall and that did not fix it. As the production website is working fine with the 4 blocks – this is not really a pressing issue.
Seems like no-one else is having a problem. Not really worth expending anymore effort on this at this moment in time.

Yes when editing the page and you click the + the headline and buttons are missing

I sense having looked at a number of WordPress websites that this is hobby horse unique to me.
One reason I mention it is SEMrush has an option which shows all the “errors” which reminded me of the W3 Validator. Most of my websites have been in .net in recent years and the templates for those have minor bugs.
Fixing the bugs can fix glitches in sites which can be overlooked if you do not validate pages.
