Ok – duh! Forgot I had to install.

Well… I didn’t even have to switch. I just previewed it and the correct Home page displayed. So… I guess it is Headway after all. Unfortunately they are not very responsive. I will just have to wait until I can get someone over there to help.

I’ll check back if log in issue does not resolve.

Well, I backed up with Backup Buddy. But now I can’t find the Twenty Sixteen theme! When I search for it nothing shows up.

I restarted the computer – which seemed to help the log in issue. Chrome is having trouble updating. The WordPress home page problem remains unchanged even after restart. And it doesn’t matter which browser I’m using.

One other glitchy thing is happening: WP used to keep me logged in for a day or 2. Now it is logging me out every 20 minutes or so. It won’t memorize the password even though I’ve got ‘remember me’ clicked…

Wow! Are you sure it would be safe? I would hate to lose all my Headway settings, and design, etc….

And when I look at ‘Pages’ in the dashboard, that page says ‘Home – Front Page’.

But, as I said, when I click View Page it takes me to the front page that is the blog.

I just tried that. But, I didn’t want to change it from ‘post name’ as the structure.

I clicked the ‘custom’ box and resaved, and it went back to post name (which is the sample custom one). I saved that.

But it did not fix the problem and it did not give me any manual instructions for accesing the .htaccess file.

Well this gets weirder and weirder. I went back and edited the title of the page as suggested. Then when I click “View Page” it takes me to the blog page. I can’t even view the page (except in preview mode).

Otherwise everything is the same. The ‘Home’ button still takes me to the blog.

Doesn’t seem like Headway…?

I tested to see if it would let me use a different static page as the frint page, but no matter which page I designate for the front page, it still is the blog page.

I’m just not positive if the problem is with Headway or with WordPress. I know I set the settings right. But maybe it’s a problem with the Menu settings. The static page that I have designated to be the front page/home page has no title. In the Menu I said to call it ‘home’ as I don’t want it to say ‘Untitled’ on the Navigation Bar.

Is it possible there is something there that needs to be different?
