Hmmm it does not seem to be disabling fullscreen for me. I commented it out on your latest release and I am able to fullscreen vimeo without any issues…

3.0 is in the works. It will be class based, much easier to work with. Much cleaner. I already have it going to fLV, google and you tube. I am working on other formats now like mov and avi and windows formats.

Sorry guys. I have been extremly busy with a new job. This project is very much alive. First stop, You tube basic video gallery… i have great plans.. will be extremly easy ?? go make youtube accounts… ??

Secondly there willl be a new plugin.. cant really talk to much about it. Cause the site that will power it, is being built right now. Needless to say… I have amazing plan for the site, and cool plugins to make. I will be cracking on them soon. Hope to get something out there.

Thats a very cool project, but I dont want to sound like i am creating a hosting gallery, OR source code to be downloaded to function as a whole galley.

Please think of this as a system in which to organize all your media, and API’s to pull that information. I am sorry for being vague about everything, but it will all make more sense when I get the beta site up.

Anyways just know it will be a simplistic way to organize and integrate all your images, videos, and possibly music regardless of where you store them.

New NEW NEW idea ??

With the release of the Yahoo UI Toolkit. I am starting to lean towards the idea of writing a plugin to use the toolkit, and using some ajax and fancy javascript from the toolkit to make this plugin easy to administrate.

Any comments on this? Big nono for the wordpress world?

Also I am in the planning stages of a centralized organization setup. I have big ideas for this, cant really dig into them all right now.

I have started working with Red Films Ltd. A Local Chicago Production Company. With them we will start pushing a REAL Film and Video gallery.

Not only will this gallery be able to stand alone, it will will have a very simple plugin to wordpress. I want the plugin to be hard core enough to work for the largest production company and scale down to the lonely Video Blogger.

I apologize for the randomness of the post, but i do promise it is being worked on, and NEW things are to come of it.

The main thing is this is going to be far more then a plugin now, it is reaching out to be a full film/video organization and display system.

its gonna be cool. I will post links to new things shortly!!!

I am going to start a production journal soon for this project, most likely at the Red Films site. As most of my work will be with there organization and film setup.

I will also be looking here for how people would like to use this system. Not only to post videos in your blog, display a gallery, any other uses you could see?

I just looked into those services. They should be easy to include. I also have requests to include WMF, AVI, and MPEG files. I am going to try my best to get them all included

I would love to make it stable, but it will stay beta as I add more file formats and services. Once I feel I have made everyone happy with formats I will just worry about stability. Though the current release is very stable for the services and formats it supports, if you are looking to use it.

Any other additions please lemme know I would love to get this stable.

Version 2.2 of Extreme Video Plugin was XHTML 1.0 Transitional Compliant.

I just released 2.3 which is 1.0 Strict. If you are extremly in need of keeping your site 1.0 Strict you can download the new one.

Quick updates guys the Extreme Video Plugin is now 100% XHTML 1.0 compliant. For each type of file

YouTube
MOV

Full Screen popup windows are also Compliant. Check it out ?? upgrading is easy!

Version 2.1 is out. Sorry everyone for so many downloads. 2.1 fixes Apsey’s issues. MOV and FLV files are now covered with a proxy image.

By including a MOV you are actually going to see a quick time logo with text stating click here to view. Once the user clicks the video is actually brought up. This is a very important fix, and I am very glad someone brought it to my attention.

There is also a new flvPlayer to mimic the same thing. It makes sure the movie isnt download everytime anyone hits your site :).

There were also some problems actually viewing MOVs and FLVS in IE that have been resolved.

Sorry to be so confusing I wish i could have made it more straight forward. Also after you download version 2.1 you now need to edit line 104 not line 101 ??

The first step is to download the flvplayer.swf from my server you can get it from the link above. Once you have downloaded the SWF copy it over to your website anywhere.

Lets say your website is https://www.trevor737.com and you copy the player into the root of your website. You should now be able to access the flvPlayer by browseing to https://www.trevor737.com/flbPlayer.swf.

You can put this file in any folder if you rather so it is something like
https://www.trevor737.com/flvPlayer/flvPlayer.swf
Once you have the URL to the SWF file that is what you need to update line 104 with for example the line should look like:

DEFINE(‘PP_PLAYERPATH’, “https://www.trevor737.com/flvPlayer.swf”);

You are just telling the plug-in where it can find a local FLV player. I hope this helped. Also these steps are only if you wish to use FLV files directly with this plugin.

I apologize again for the updates, hopefully there wont be any issues with this one! Please keep me updated and I will do my best to correct any problems.

As for WMV files I will look into including them but it wont take very high priority as I dont really see them being used very much anymore, they did kinda die out.
