Well in those (2010, 2011, 2012) I can not ad a logo in the header so I can not test. Unless you know of a theme that has a logo in it and is free, I would be more than happy to test in there.

Mm, the developer said is is basic WP problem and not the template. Something wrong with the basic scaling in the WP images.
