The exact same thing happened to me last night while working on a client’s site. I updated to the new version of WordPress, 4.7 and updated all plugins. Then I was no longer able to apply edits to the pages. Now whenever I try logging in I just get a blank white page. Which is weird, I’m still logged in to my WP account because there are the options for dashboard, edit page, etc., but not matter what I click on it just goes to another page and never loads.
Please note, I do not have the W3 cache tool and not sure how to disable plugins if I can’t access the back office unless there is a way through the FTP account and file manager. Either way, this was a huge mistake because like I said this is a client’s site that I’ve been working on for months and I’d hate to see all of that time and energy wasted on an update that was obviously not fully tested before its’ release.
And if it’s true about not being allowed to hop onto other threads then I do apologize, but this is a pretty serious matter that is seems to be occurring quite frequently and I’m sure we would all like answers on a way to resolve this issue.
