  • I’m having a similar issue. I followed these steps exactly. It fixed absolutely nothing. As far as I can tell, hitting disconnect on that connection test page does nothing. In fact, it doesn’t seem to matter how many times I connect, disconnect or delete my google accounts, this plugin remains belligerently steadfast that it WILL NOT connect to Google. Even with the google account disconnected, if I try to connect, it will allow me to follow the steps to grant access, but then it ALWAYS resets to the previous screen as if nothing has happened. Everytime. Without fail.

Thanks @rosehosting that worked. Very handy to know you can simply bypass the 403 at this point by editing the wp-config. You’re a legend!

Thanks @rosehosting. I definitely downloaded the core files from the official site and as far as I can tell all permissions are how they should be. 744 or 755 for all folders and 644 for all files. But I’ll confess, I’ve got no experience with this so is there something else I should be looking for?

@t-p – no .htaccess anywhere – the site hadn’t even been installed yet! I thought .htaccess was only created once permalinks were set?

    Thanks guys

Yeah just did and it’s spitting this out: 2017-10-31 11:15:40.072 [ERROR] [HTAccess] Failed to open [/home/cdm182/singalong.championmedia.com.au/wp-admin/.htaccess]: Permission denied

Does that mean I have to manually insert a .htaccess?

    Thanks for the help!
