1. I have never set a padding ??
2. The problem is always there ?? Just click on register without write anything and move the mouse over the notification that indicates the field is required, you will see the arrow is not red but gray :p

From support :
It looks like a conflict with your theme or other plugins.
Please make sure that you have the latest 2.0.24 version of the plugins installed.
Try to clear your browser cache or use a private/incognito window.
Do the DB upgrade under the Ultimate member section on your dashboard if it’s available.
Here is the doc on how to do a conflict test if you are not sure how to do it.
