I believe I may have found the answer?:
“You can use the Bulk Edit Pro version you can set the Status column to ‘Trash’ and it will delete that Variation. Or if you want it permanently deleted from the database, set the status to ‘Delete’.”

Well, that’s something at least, though pretty vague – ‘some time’. Let’s hope there will be some follow up.
    Thanks!

I have the same problem, “scan failed”…”host not found”. I use GoDaddy. Site is https://LifeInspires.com
    Site loads fine for me.

Jan Dembowski – Your response (12 hours ago) is appearing just below mine (of 1 month 2 weeks ago). But I am confused…to whom are you directing this? Who is it that asked for credentials? Are you replying to the correct thread? This seems totally out of context with my comments; am I missing something? Please clarify.
    Thank you – crgrayaz

Thank you. But in the time since, after I fixed the issues as I described above, my site was hacked. My tech guys had to restore & their work included reconciling the versions to 3.7.0 (as you suggest). Then I had to re-do those fixes. All is fine still/again (all is ‘In stock’) since then, so I hesitate to do anything else at this point. Still, I will make a note of your suggestion, to attempt if/when needed down the road. Thank you.

I’m curious…it seems that status report I sent gives my general environment info, plugins, etc. Do you know if that will still be helpful, utilized for troubleshooting/debugging, and then used in conjunction with similar info provided by other users, hopefully lead to a new updated version that would cover this issue, yes? I’d hope to anticipate that. Until then I will definitely be keeping an eye out.

I have found something that works for me, after reading though (“lengthy github issue on this subject”: https://github.com/woocommerce/woocommerce/issues/16620

    FIX – 2 steps:
    1.
    Edit the product
Go to one of the variations (the first one should do) << That’s what I did, as I have 372 variations for each of my variable products!!)
    Check the “Manage Stock?” option
Save changes on the variations button
Update the product on the main button, to the right (just in case some variables or scripts aren’t loading correctly)
Go to the same variation you edited on step 2
    Uncheck the “Manage Stock?” option
Save changes on the variations button

    THEN:
    2.
Change ‘Stock Status’ to ‘in stock’ manually for that same variation for this product. (and only that one variation – thankfully was enough)

The product now has changed from ‘out of stock’ to ‘in stock’. Like someone else said…Let’s hope it stays this way.

a PS I must comment on – I just changed verbiage for a different product (ie, product number 3 now), and now THAT product shows ‘out of stock’ on the dashboard all of a sudden.

    Thread Starter Cathy

    (@cgraydbay)

Yes WooCommerce 3.7.0. PlugIns: Product AddOns and Yoast SEO Premium

Also since it was unclear to me whether this was the correct place to post my message, showing “Resolved” prior, I’ve also posted as a new thread.

I have same problem. 2 of my 47 Products (all with Variations) show out of stock and shouldn’t.

2 show red type ‘Out of stock’; this is on the dashboard’s “ALL PRODUCTS” page where they are all listed (name, SKU, stock, price, etc.). Each of my 47 products has 372 variations! (“Package” ie -std size or not, “Shipping” ie -digital file ie no cost, or not; and “Quantity” many options ie for discount pricing)

I have read this thread and another older one and based on those comments:

-I do NOT have ‘Manage stock’ checked under the main variable product or its children, all of the variations. Rather – I have checked “Sold individually, “Enable this to only allow one of this item to be bought in a single order” but all my products are checked in this manner.
-All of my products have pictures associated with them.
-The ‘stock status’ within all the children/variations (of the one product (of 2) in question)) reads ‘in stock’ (I didn’t sample all 372 but did a random sampling of maybe 20)
And additionally, variations have prices associated with them.

I have made no special changes to these 2 products out of my 47 total, to my knowledge, no reason they’d be different than the others. And I do not readily see any difference between an ‘in stock’ product and the 2 ‘out of stock’ products.

(ALSO – I just created a test order with one of these 2 and it went through to completion? Still, I’ll continue here because I’d like to resolve this…) What else might I try?
    Thank in advance.

    (@cgraydbay)

One more thing, an error code came up twice while I was doing filtered searches for increasing my variable item prices. “Error while filtering, 405 not allowed”. (I couldn’t recognize any consistency in the 2 times). I searched in forums for this topic but did not see it. So I clicked OK on this, then after the “saving” (of changes made) message, it’s always followed by “searching” again (don’t know why?) and it gets stuck in this “searching” mode. I have been able to stop it manually and move on to next change. But…not knowing what this error is about, it makes me a little nervous that all my changes may not have been made.

Also, because my products all have variations, when I search, the “parent” record shows up and I have to uncheck/back these out before I do my edit/change of all the other records. What, if anything, could I state, via filters, to eliminate these showing up, to save me time?
    Thanks!

    Thread Starter Cathy

    (@cgraydbay)

I remember now how I need to do this…my Standard shipping price is like the default and so was initially figured into the item price, as if shipping were free. (whereas Express items had added $ and digital file was $0 added). So I need to increase the price for all products/variation = standard shipping, by 50 cents. And I need to do this in batches since otherwise I reach the maximum records of 1,000. So not as easy as other bulk edits, but manageable.

Thank you, I think I’m good on this.

    Thread Starter Cathy

    (@cgraydbay)

Thank you, but it’s more complex for me.
Under WooCommerce/General/Store Address/Shipping Locations I have ‘Disable shipping and shipping calculations’**. Also then, under Product Data for variable product, ‘Shipping’ now shows nothing. (weight, dimensions, class). Attributes shows ‘Shipping’ as one of 3 options which I mentioned, one of which is my ‘Standard’, which is “Used for Variations”. Then every product (all are variable in this manner) has the ‘standard’ shipping rate of $3.00 (currently) plugged in. (as well as my product variations of “Qty” and “package” (mini labels or fronts only, etc.)

**My tech guys advised this for multiple reasons I believe… I had no need to weigh packages (wine labels, very light) and because of no shipping needed as well -for digital file option.
