I think that I have found the problem, in fact it was due to my javascript dialog box not destroyed on close and then I had multiple times the same ID’s in the page and the values were then empty on save.

I thought that the menu structure was managed by the menu system. For now I don’t have any theme with this feature, I will look how it works and see
