I’m deleting files via ftp – I can’t get to WP Dashboard.
I installed WordPress locally and the theme and plugins are working but I don’t have a backup of the database (I know -not good); I’ll contact the host. Thanks.

I downloaded a new copy of WordPress, deleted all files except wp-config and wp-content folder and then uploaded new ones. No change – website works but /wp-admin not accessible. Browser error is No Data Received.

I’m running out of ideas; If anyone can see what might be wrong, please let me know:
My starting point: website is visible but website/wp-admin is down (Browser error: Chrome-No Data Received;Firefox-Problem loading Page, Connection was Reset)
My latest troubleshooting steps:
1. a)Deleted active theme leaving only twentyfifteen and twentytwelve
–>both website and website/wp-admin go to white screen
b)Put back active theme
–>website is visible again but website/wp-admin is inaccessible
2. Ran wp-repair
–>all tables OK, but website/wp-admin is still blank
3. Rebuilt wp-config.php from wp-config-sample
–>no change
4. Replaced functions.php with original from downloaded theme
–>no change
5. Deleted active theme (v2.2) and uploaded latest version (v2.4)
–>website and website/wp-admin are white screens
(since I don’t have access to dashboard, I couldn’t activate the theme; would that be a problem? theme name in style.css is same in both versions)
–>Went back to v2.2 and I’m back to where I started – website is good but website/admin is inaccessible.
6. debug.log now shows errors (could they be related wp-admin white screen?):

Yes the default themes are in the same folder as the active theme. And I still see white screen.

Thanks for the reply. I renamed the theme to deactivate it via ftp and still got the white screen.

I have the same issue. I upgraded WordPress and upgraded Soliloquy Lite to 1.5.2 and the slider disappeared. Please let me know if you found a solution. Thanks.

Same issue for me: lists are not showing. Only my own tweets appear in the widget.
