My use case: setting up a simple client portal with a page devoted to/for each client. (I can do it with Elementor, but would rather not! ?? ) Would have them redirected to their special page when they log in, containing info just for them and their project.

I’m sure there are a ton of other uses for this also.

Ok I just cleared the LYTE cache in the plugin settings and it’s working now. Thought I tried that but anyway it’s all good. Thanks very much! It’s my first time using this plugin and I’m very happy to have found it, as the performance benefits are clear. I will start to use it on my other sites too!

Come to think of it, when importing a site, it might be on a new server where some of the old htaccess rules do not apply (or could even break the site). So it is good that these are not blindly copied.

Maybe there could just be a button somewhere to regenerate the htaccess file according to the current plugin settings.

Helpful for newbies like me would then just be a note that comes up during the export process that the htaccess file is not part of the export/import process, and if we have any security plugins running it might be helpful to deactivate them before backup and reactivate after import.
