I deleted the 7.0 version and downloaded and installed the 6.9. Everything works fine. So it is definitely the 7.0 version

PS. I checked for the id=## in the heading and all the old ID=## events can be forced into the edit page. So where is everything.

I went back to version 2 and it still is not working. I still just get the thumbnail and count but no faces.

Is the fan ID the same as the facebook ID?

So you are saying I need to completely disable my site in order to use WOWslider. Would it not be easier to use another slider altogether?

Using the addition to the wp-config file did the trick. Finally. I may not be able to change it in the admin dashboard. But I don’t think I will change anything until after I’m dead and gone.

So far, the home page is up again, albeit broken.
I think I may have done more damage while trying to fix this.
I logged onto the phpadmin, found the options and the home and site url is correct. So I added the suggested lines to the wp-config page and the functions.php as suggested in the link.

I cannot log in to the admin section at all. It redirects to an undefined page. So I suspect that somehow I either added or deleted an /wp/ in one of the files. /wp is where the wordpress stuff is. I noticed hwn I looked at a coupld of the wp-admin files that they wanted to go to the root directory and that is where I get redirected when I attempt a log in. Is there another place I can expressly fix the WP folder like I just did the site URL?

I can log in at phpAdmin, but I don’t know what you mean about wp-options.

There is this in the wp-config file which defines the database connection:

I checked the index.php file in the root and the /wp folder as well as the wp-config file which were the files that changed on the server after this disaster.
The root directory as well as the /wp/ index.php files say:
require(‘./wp/wp-blog-header.php’);
The file wp/wp-blog-header.php does in fact exist.

the wp-config file says:
/** Loads the WordPress Environment and Template */
require(‘./wp/wp-blog-header.php’);

Now my site is http error 500.

This seems to be the instructions for a non-windows server. My site is on a windows server and there is no htaccess file. Are there instuctions for that case?

I changed the permalinks to default, so now the link is https://larchmontchronicle.com/?p=7 which just takes me to the Index.asp file for the site.

I have looked at the remote list of files and I don’t see anything called .htaccess in either the root directory or the /wp directory. I also did a search through the entire site for anything named htaccess. Where would I find it.

My site is on a Windows IIs 6 server.
