Sorry, I figured out that last glitch, but I’d still like to be clear about how to enable admin access and selected-user access to the protected content.
Forgive me if I seem dumber than a box of rocks but, when it comes to this sort of manual manipulation of user accounts, maybe I am.
Do you mean that we can set any user account from the admin panel in WordPress (i.e., under Users) to enable access to otherwise protected content? Is it just a matter of changing the user’s selected membership level there, or does it need to be changed somewhere else as well? Is this also the way to enable full access to the site’s admins?
I’ve tried this with a text account but when I logged back into that account I no longer landed on the home page of the site as before. Instead, I got an error message (“Well, this is embarrassing …” and a list of the posts that are protected.
OK, we’ll make do with workarounds until a fix is available. Thanks.
Hi Tobias,
Related to the above question regarding the number of rows possible on the “Edit” screen, is there a way to increase what TablePress can handle? So far, 1,000 rows appears to be the most I can get to import from a CSV file.I have a few tables that contain more than 5,000 rows and I would like to be able to present them without breaking them up into separate tables.
Hi Tobias,
I just tried out that extension and, with a small adjustment, it actually produces the effect I was after. By replacing “A” with “D” my first three columns remain visible as before; now when I click on the “+” symbol the content of the hidden fourth column displays. Excellent! My description to you of what I was trying to achieve wasn’t very good, I guess, but your response was exactly what was needed. You have no idea how thrilled I am with this result, so thank you!
