Forgot to ask, what version of WordPress are you running? Is it Multisite? Also, can you upload the same image file from Media Library?

Thank you for providing more details. It’s possible that the issue is produced when using Multisite. Let me find out what goes wrong and I’ll try to realease an update soon.

Dropping this feature for now due to limitations introduced with frond-end support. Closing the ticket as wontfix or maybelater.

Can you provide more details, please? I’ve made several tests with Theme my login and Twenty Twelve on a fresh install of WordPress and everything seems to work as expected.

Avatar Manager is now compatible with themes and plugins that allows front-end profile customizations. If the theme you’re using doesn’t provide these kind of features you can use plugins like Theme My Login:
