Social Warfare does not collect ANY personal data from the people who visit your site and click on a share button. Our buttons are merely utilizing the 3rd party share APIs of the respective networks. As soon as someone clicks a Social Warfare share button, everything that occurs after that click is handled by the social network’s API.
Our UTM tracking feature merely adds a string to the end of a shared URL so that Google Analytics can record that traffic data–Warfare Plugins does not receive, record, or track ANY of that data.
Our click-tracking feature is merely a Google Analytics event, which, again, is recorded by Google Analytics, not Social Warfare.
So it is without question that Social Warfare has full compliance with GDPR because we don’t track a single thing.

The 3.0.4 update, which is available now for both plugins, should be stable enough not to cause errors, though you may notice some other bugs.
If your meta data settings appear to be missing, do not worry, this information is not lost – it’s saved in your site’s database. We will be able to recover it once we identify and fix the bug that is preventing it from showing.
Our developers are working around the clock right now. We will be releasing 3.0.5 later today which should address at least 90% of the problems people are experiencing and then we will work on the remaining 10% and have that ready by Monday at the latest.
Again, we are very sorry for the inconvenience this has caused everyone.

ChristineAre you both on just the free version or the pro? At this time, we are not aware of issues with JUST the free version, the issues have only been with both. If you are a pro user, please follow the steps below. If you are having errors with the free version, please submit a support ticket to [email protected] so we can start tracking these for you.
Version 3.0.4 is available and should resolve issues with (1) pages and posts loading blank, (2) fatal errors, and (3) warnings showing on the front end. There are still some bugs we are working on, but 3.0.4 should not crash your site. BOTH PLUGINS will need to be updated – please follow these steps:(1) Access your site files via FTP or your host’s file manager if you can’t delete the plugins through your site dashboard. You want to delete /wp-content/plugins/social-warfare/ (the whole folder) and /wp-content/plugins/social-warfare-pro/ (the whole folder) if you use Social Warfare Pro.
(2) After deleting, go to Plugins > Add New and search for Social Warfare. You should see version 3.0.4 available.

(4) After updating and activating both plugins, clear any caching plugins, Cloudflare, CDNs, Autoptimize, etc. completely.

We will push out a new update as soon as possible to address those.
My apologies for the inconvenience. I am being told by our developers that 3.0.5 will be available later today and it should fix 90% of the problems people are having. We will have another update available by Monday will hopefully get us close to 100%.

Please remove both plugins (your settings won’t be lost), then reinstall version 3.0.1, which is now available. If you are unable to access your admin, you may have to use FTP. You can download the core plugin directly inside the WordPress plugin directory, and the Pro plugin can be downloaded via this link: https://warfareplugins.com/updates/social-warfare-pro/social-warfare-pro.zip.
This tutorial (https://warfareplugins.com/support/updating-social-warfare-social-warfare-pro/) explains exactly how you can safely update your plugins manually. (You can skip straight to 1min and 57sec into the video.)
