In reply to: [WP Tiles] Loading speed – amount of tilesHi Mike,
Hmm, the plot thickens…
In menu Byline Content I have “Text-Only Tiles” switched on and in Image Settings I just changed the Image Selection setting to “Attached Only”. None of my posts contain images. I don’t see a difference but I maybe you do… I think I am not hiding images, as you suggest. Am I right?

In reply to: [WP Tiles] [1.0 BETA] Testers needed for WP Tiles 1.0 betaAh yes, before I forget, is there any chance you will fit in a CSS manipulation box sometime to set colours and borders on tiles? It would add greatly to overall snazzyness… ??

In reply to: [WP Tiles] [1.0 BETA] Testers needed for WP Tiles 1.0 betaHey Mike,
I just updated to the 1.0 final version. It seems that the tiles in the grid don’t repeat themselves any more. So the amount of tiles one sets for the grid is leading and not the amount of “post shown” as set in the reading settings of WordPress. Is this by design?
I worked around this by declaring more tiles, because I have a grid of four tiles that is supposed to repeat itself until 20 posts are shown. No biggy but I was wondering…. ??

In reply to: [WP Tiles] [1.0 BETA] Testers needed for WP Tiles 1.0 betaAha, does that mean that you will roll with the official version shortly or do we all need to update to this newest beta? I figure that if everything works fine, no in-between action is needed. Am I right?
My blog is as flat as a dime, no categories, no worries… ??
Thanks. I just changed it. You must have had a revelation during dreamtime. I have that too sometimes. ??
I guess we’re done then. Thanks, Mattyrob…
Ah, I see. I trust you just gave them your code in exchange for a case of beer, right? Otherwise I must hold on to your contribution above, just in case I have to use it in the next update…. ??
Thanks again…
Wow, thanks for the code. I will hack it in shortly. Is the free version not maintained at all any more?
I checked the relevant DB-table and saw that the status was “done” and not “pending”. I re-concepted and re-published and the status changed to “pending”. The post will show up in the next digest.
How the status was set to “done” remains a mystery. Can that be done by sending a mail-preview? Another question: where can I see the “set” time for the digest mails?
Thanks for the pointer, in any case.
Yes, the post is published, the override box is not checked (I checked that…) and I have no categories excluded.
I am not sure as to what you mean by date range. I published 3 posts between the one-before-last digest mail (1-1-2015) and the last one (8-1-2015), all fall within a week (3, 5 and 6-1-2015), the last post of 6-1 was not included.
Might it be a one-time hick-up?
Hmm, I dropped the tables in the DB associated wit BC. One of them was crashed. Problem solved.

In reply to: [WP Tiles] [1.0 BETA] Testers needed for WP Tiles 1.0 betaDid some more testing. Found the following:
– If the home(landing)page contains tiles and it is paginated at the bottom, you can’t go to the next page. Unfortunately I can’t offer you a testsite to show this.
– The amount of tiles (articles) on the page (naturally) has a lot of influence on loading speed. I brought that down from 50 to 17 and loading speed has increased significantly.
Later more…
