In reply to: [All-In-One Security (AIOS) – Security and Firewall] Password protected pagesSorry to take so long to get back on this. It appears to work fine in Safari, but not so well in Chrome (according to a friend of mine, and I see it also doesn’t work in Firefox. All on my Mac. Should I be doing something in my browsers – like clearing out existing cookies – to deal with this?
Chrome would’ve been on a PC actually.
Thanks
ChrisBTW, I also tried turning off all other plugins – no luck with that.
Thanks – no path modifications have been made here – my support person raised this question – ‘Do you know if this plugin requires wordpress to run as root? On the Shared Cluster, files are owned and run by the user itself (never root). ‘
Is there any fix for this at your end or would this be something my ISP would need to do. It seems odd that in one account I have with them there’s no problem, but in the other there is.
Cheers

In reply to: [All-In-One Security (AIOS) – Security and Firewall] Password protected pagesThanks very much. Love the plugin, and the fix will make it perfect for me, as I use the page password a lot with clients.

In reply to: [All-In-One Security (AIOS) – Security and Firewall] Password protected pagesHi there. Thanks for the quick reply. I created a page (not a post – haven’t tried that yet) called “test” and set it to be password protected (rather than public or private) The only content was the word test. Logged out as admin, tried to access the specific page (for which I’d set a unique password) (not logged in) and got bounced to the URL I had set up on the brute force (firewall) page (the one you’d indicated – can’t remember the IP offhand) This wasn’t a wp-admin page, but one which would be visible to anyone.
When I turned off the the brute force option I was able to input the password and access the page.
Hope this helps!
Cheers

In reply to: An error occurred in the upload. Please try again later. So far, the plugin that messed up media uploads and library display is Sell Media from Graph Paper Press. I’ve tried enabling and disabling it several times and am getting consistent results. Once it’s off, everything seems to work fine.

In reply to: An error occurred in the upload. Please try again later.I turned off all my plugins and then it worked. I have been turning them on again, slowly but surely, and am so far still in luck. Will post again when I find the culprit.

In reply to: Insert Image Not WorkingCan you let us know which one? I have three WP sites here, all with somewhat different setups, and none of them is working.
Thanks

In reply to: An error occurred in the upload. Please try again later.Same problem here – Safari, most current release, WP 3.5, Mountain Lion on an imac.
Same here, deactivating it solved the problem. I tested on a second WP site (both current versions) with the same result.
Having the same problem here – most current releases of WP and this plugin. I get the map on the home page (Modularity, from Graph Paper Press) but not on other site pages. Just a spinning wheel.
help appreciated!
Cheers

In reply to: Featured Images and Particular ImagesI’m having a similar problem. Some mages – which work fine elsewhere – are not showing in my wp installation. The switch here is that they were fine prior to today. Now, no show. I’m using the most current version of wordpress with the commercial version of Pagelines. No difference when I turn all plugins on or off.
Thanks for the quick reply. It seems to be working ok now….
Same problem here at https://blog.chrishutcheson.com. This is a recent development and I haven’t changed any settings from when everything was working. It may be something with Skype itself. as I seem to have the same issue with a Drupal site I run. But, just now, it seems to have kicked back in again….inconsistent for sure!
