Also, what do you mean by “Edit Mode”? Edit Visually? Edit HTML?

I tried ctrl+space in both visual and html mode and it did not seem to work.

I figured it out. Sorry to have bothered you.

It was as I thought. MX for this domain is hosted on a different network than the web server. Since the destination email address domain was the same as the web hosted domain, the server was trying to deliver the form mail locally. It’s a setting in Cpanel. The default setting for mail routing is “Local Mail Exchanger”.

For Future Reference: In Cpanel, Under the “Email” section, click on “Email Routing” and select “Automatically Detect Configuration” or “Remote Mail Exchanger”. This will configure the web server to lookup MX in dns in stead of assuming that mail is controlled locally.

Anyone ever get this fixed. This is also happening to me: br and p tags that are inserted in the editor are not being rendered in the code.

After fiddling around a little more, I realized that when I was testing the WP search function earlier, I had neglected to deactivate “search unleashed” and it was still interfering. I shut off the plugin and tested with the WP search function and that issues was resolved.

So it would seem that it was the plugin.
