I’m having this same exact problem and have tried clearing cache, cookies, even used a machine I’ve never used to browse my blog before but same problem. I knew I turned off all my plugins on my 2nd upgrade attempt but the behavior remains. Will keep checking this thread for a solution!

Anybody else getting this problem too? I’ve seen it happen on two of my sites and it’s exactly as Viidar says. When I refresh the pages, it goes away.

I have to add that when I am on Link Manager and I add a category and a link, it accepts it as if the link and category are added but when you view the front page it just shows all the links and categories before the upgrade.

I have several blogs that I was too lazy to upgrade when 1.5 came so I just upgraded them when 1.51 came. I kept getting sql errors (unfortunately I wasn’t able to do a screencapture or write the errors down) if I did it from 1.2 and skipped 1.5 so to played it safe I did it the long way. I wrote down the steps I used in my blog:

I’ll have to try it again and post the error I get when upgrading it straight to 1.51.

please ignore this post if someone has answered this but has anybody documented upgrading from 1.2 to 1.51? i upgraded several blogs from 1.2 to 1.51 this weekend and had to upgrade to 1.5 first before again upgrading to 1.51. a bit of a hassle!

hi arkworld! i checked all the blogs i upgraded to 1.5 that were originally imported from blogger and sure enough they had the [email protected] with no name. guess what? those were the very same blogs i had comments problems with, with comments showing up only from the administrator even when name and email fields were filled up.

this was the same problem i had:

and i did the suggested fix of commenting out some lines in the wp-comments-post.php but next time i’ll make sure to delete that user and see if it makes a difference.

i meant to say maybe you need to add the wp-grins tags (as instructed in the readme ) in the respective php files then reupload them.

did you overwrite your quicktags.php file, wp-comments.php or your edit-form.php with the new one that the 1.21 install package? if so, then it overwrote your original one with the added tags for the wp-grins.
