In reply to: [CMB2] Getting “no terms” message in place of select fieldHi Michael,
Thanks for the help with this- I don’t really know how I’m assigning users either. Maybe it is all term meta data.
I just thought of another approach- all users who are assigned to xxx_uid are also assigned a unique WP role. I tried using the slug of the role in place of XXX_uid and got the error “invalid taxonomy.” Is there a way to display a drop-down list of all users with a certain role?
Thanks,
Cathy

In reply to: [CMB2] Getting “no terms” message in place of select fieldHi,
Thanks for getting back to me!
I do mean regular WP users. The custom post type has categories (I’m not sure if these are the same as default WP categories- they are listed in the database term_taxonomy as xxx_category) and on the category edit page I select a WP user to be assigned to that category. The WP user is not associated with the XXX_uid taxonomy until I assign him/her to a category. So I am just trying to list all of the WP users who I have already assigned to a category.
When I look in the database table postmeta, the xxx_uid is a meta_key and for each post of the custom post type the WP user’s id # is the meta_value. XXX_uid is not in the databases term_taxonomy, terms, termmeta or usersmeta.
I understand your question about storage location and the query location but I haven’t been doing this long enough to know if what I’ve just told you means that this is the problem.
Thanks,

In reply to: [BP Activity Share] Share button shows but sharing doesn’t workHello Sanket,
Thanks for checking in about this problem- it has not been solved yet. There seems to be 2 issues, at least.
1- The shares are not showing up in the activity stream; in admin in the activity table the “bp_activity_share” items are all being listed as unregistered.
2- On the front-end, where the little “share” icon shows up on the activity item, all activity items seem to be included in the count of how many shares have been given. So for example, if I have activity 1 and activity 2, and someone shares activity 1, then both activities have a “share: 1” showing up (as opposed to activity 1 with “share: 1” and activity 2 with “share: 0”).
If you could let me know how to solve these issues that would be great.
Thanks

In reply to: [Smart User Slug Hider] Use with buddypress?Hi Peter,
Unfortunately I’m still getting the 404 page when I use BuddyExtender to remove the /members slug. Let me know if you’d like me to try something to figure out why it works for you but not for me.

In reply to: [Smart User Slug Hider] Use with buddypress?Hi Peter,
I’ve been testing the beta version for a week or so now and I’ve found only one problem. I have been using the plugin “BuddyExtender” from Pluginize to remove the “member” slug from buddypress pages, and using that together with your plugin gives a 404 error on BP pages. When the /member slug is present, the user’s username/id is hidden properly on the profile url. It looks great! There a lot of BP pages and links to profiles so I’ll let you know if any issue pops up when the username isn’t hidden as it should be.
Regards,
CathyHi @nitishmistry19,
Happy to help! I should have mentioned in my previous post this was from the blog of Best Websites Fast

In reply to: [Smart User Slug Hider] Use with buddypress?Hi Peter,
I was hoping you’d reply to my original post 5 months ago but upon re-reading it I just realized those shortcodes may be used to display the new slug, not hide the old slug? Please confirm if that’s the case.
Anyway, I’d be happy to test the new version. I’ll let you know how it goes.

In reply to: [WP Job Manager] Is this plugin still supported?Hello,
Thanks for following up! I’m looking for a new screenshot site right now – so I’ll have to post some when I find a new free site. Or if you want to provide a support email I can send you some screenshots there.
The issues are:
If I don’t have any job type entered (full time, part time, etc) a colored square is showing up where those entries should be.
Also, I’d like the company tagline to automatically go to a new line below company name. Right now it starts on the same line as company name and breaks to a new line if the company name is long.
Thanks,

In reply to: [BuddyPress Global Search] Exclude Users using bp_ajax_querystringThanks! Now that I think of it- it may be better to exclude by member type or role- can that be done?

In reply to: [BuddyPress Global Search] Search results for pages renders shortcodesHi @exentric,
I tried your code but it didn’t work- I don’t know why. I’m hoping BuddyBoss will post a new reply and get this issue fixed.
