@t-p if you don’t mind, could you be a little more specific? I’m afraid to take down the captcha and try something else that might not work. Don’t want to get in trouble with my hosting company. So I need to know that it will definitely work, and that the server will not get bombarded the next time my site is attacked. Thanks for your advice.

@t-p my host says none of the solutions on that page would prevent the server from being overloaded. Is that really true?

@collinsmbaka yes – that’s the issue.

I was able to solve the problem. I figured out that it was a database issue, some files somehow got corrupted when the SSL certificate was installed. I ended up having to completely wipe my wordpress installation and then install it again from scratch. It was a total pain but it solved the problem. Of course, before you wipe your wordpress installation, make sure you have a backup and then after you reinstall wordpress, you should be able to import your data with minimal issues.

I’m wondering if this is a corrupted database issue? I have no clue what I’m looking at in phpMyAdmin. I ran “repair table”. No changes to the issue I’m having. Is there another way to check if a database is corrupted?

I created a new instance of wordpress + woocommerce at cathydurso.net/test and I don’t have the issue there.

The whole thing is so strange. On my main site, I notice that after I click “add to cart” on a product page, the cart icon will briefly show the cost and the number of items, while the page is loading. But then once the page is fully loaded the cost and number of items goes back to 0.

I’m at a loss!

I’ve deactivated, deleted, reinstalled, and reactivated woocommerce. The problem persists. I’m at a loss! Any other ideas?

I couldn’t get the staging plugin to work so I’m just going to do the reinstallation without staging first. But I can’t figure out how to export my products as a CSV file. The WordPress exporter will only export as an XML file, but then to import them I need a CSV file. Am I missing something?

Con, it looks like I have to buy the pro version of the plugin you recommended in order to actually migrate the staged site to the live site? So if I don’t buy the pro version I will have to recreate all of my products from scratch? Or would I have to recreate all of the products from scratch either way?

Aha! I finally figured it out. When I had a thumbnail with a caption that took up two rows of text, it pushed the images on the next line over. I have no clue why, or how to make it not do that, but I just made my captions shorter and that solved the problem. Esmi- thanks for the help!

Just tried it – no change in the thumbnail alignment.

Does anyone have any ideas about what the issue is here? Thanks!
