In reply to: Editing theme functions and site is now blankI was able to go into the control panel of the hosting site and remove the new code under functions.php. Yay! So glad to figure this out. Thanks for the help.

In reply to: Editing theme functions and site is now blankI re-uploaded the whole theme also.

In reply to: Editing theme functions and site is now blankI reuploaded the functions.php to the site but I don’t know how to specifically upload it to the functions folder. I get that I messed something up but I don’t understand why I can’t get to the dashboard. But anyway… I realize that people here are very skilled and I appreciate the help but I’m missing something in these instructions … I don’t know why this happened. I don’t know why I have no dashboard. That seems pretty extreme even if I messed up the code (which I still think I followed it properly but obviously something went amiss). My question is – how do I specifically via filezilla do what you are suggesting? I must be missing something. — Thanks. The host is saying to restore my site back to how it was I would have to pay $50 and I can’t do that. Thanks very much.

In reply to: Editing theme functions and site is now blankThanks Samuel.
It was called abluetheme (Teresa Jones, sochicdesign.com) – I have the theme saved but I can’t get into the Dashboard. Is that typical? Thanks. Sort of navigating myself through this…

In reply to: Editing theme functions and site is now blankHi ClaytonJames, backup from Filezilla or backup from external drive ? — I don’t know if I even know how to do that but I can attempt to figure it out. It seemed like such a simple change; I didn’t expect it to have such dramatic results (and I’m not sure why it did).

In reply to: Editing theme functions and site is now blankI gather from info I filled out awhile ago it’s 2.9.1. WP version. Thanks.

In reply to: WordPress.com Stats buggered since upgrading to 2.9Hi Andy,
Thanks for writing in. I just upgraded the stats – thought it might help but no. Under ‘stats,’ it is saying my ‘busiest day’ was January 1, 1970 even tho’ obviously the blog did not exist then. So I’m wondering if the date could be off and that’s what’s causing the stat problem. Is that possible? Or maybe that’s the default info.
Thanks.
Cathryn.

In reply to: Site StatisticsHi Mike, I got the code in but the stats aren’t working. I saw on one of the other threads that the person who developed the stats thinks there could be several reasons for this happening (stats not working) – says this is the “minority” of people (however there seem to be A LOT of people writing in with the problem!).
When I wrote the above, I was just trying to get API key uploaded … did that, stats don’t work.
I’ve been using Google Analytics but don’t find it as good as the stats I’m used to on WordPress.com.
I heard that Get Clicky is good.
Good luck!
Cathryn.

In reply to: WordPress.com Stats buggered since upgrading to 2.9does upgrading to 2.9.1 help?
I’m used to wordpress.com where things seem to get FIXED – or at least addressed/responded to – once people make note of the problem!

In reply to: WordPress.com Stats buggered since upgrading to 2.9I’m new to www.remarpro.com and just installed the site statistics. (i’ve had a blog at wordpress.com and never had problems.)
Will someone from WordPress address this? Is there another program that should be used?
I saw that they are offering an update to 2.9. Does that solve the problem? Thanks!
Forum: Everything else WordPress
In reply to: Site StatisticsOkay, it seems to have worked even tho’ I’m not sure I understand the linking of the www.remarpro.com site with a wordpress.com account. Nonetheless, it is monitoring my stats. That’s a good thing!

In reply to: Site StatisticsI think I understand but do I want my www.remarpro.com (new) site linked to my wordpress.com blog which is what it is asking me to DO to enable site statistics plug in (on www.remarpro.com site)? Help!
Forum: Everything else WordPress
In reply to: Site StatisticsIt directed me towards my wordpress.com blog but I have site stats set up on that account. I am looking to add stats to my www.remarpro.com account. If I enter an API key from my wordpress.com site, will it look up site stats for the right account? Thanks.
