Oh, I figured it out. It’s under Appearance and then under Editor and then Edit Themes and that’s where you change the copy. So Esmi you were of course right that it was within the WordPress panel!
Thanks! (So relieved.)
Hi Esmi thanks so much for your response. Well I could do that and use WP widgets, the problem is that the pre-made widgets will still be there with no text under them, and they are listed first. There must be a way – that’s really the whole point – to fill in the existing theme widgets/Sidebar content. Hmmm… I can write to the creator I suppose. Oh & I tried what you suggested adding the copy under Your Profile and that did not appear in the “About the Author” widget. Thanks for the suggestion tho’!

In reply to: theme uploading via ftp questionA ha! Well I dragged the new Theme folder from the actual Desktop (vs. the Desktop showing in Filezilla – because it wasn’t) into the WP Themes area on the Remote Site (right) side of Filezilla and it uploaded! So excited. So, thank you! The tutorial was most helpful.

In reply to: theme uploading via ftp questionHi this is Cathryn again. (I couldn’t get into that original account for some reason.) I was able to watch video 2 after trying again and my files *are* being automatically unzipped (thankfully).
but in video 2 when she drags the new Theme folder from the desktop on the left hand side into the WP themes/content area on the right, the New Theme folder is showing up on the left hand side under ‘documents and settings’ and then ‘desktop.’ My desktop folder is not showing up there. I have local site and some folders but no documents and settings or desktop. What do I do…? Thank you!
