It’s your full right to think badly about our plugin. However, the way you are strongly reacting and accusing us for fake ratings even, tells more about you, than about us, in my opinion.
I think there is no use to defend ourselves, or even try to make things up with you in this case. You have your opinion made up, clearly, and it feels like you are a fanboy of other Live-Chat systems, by the way you fanatically make all kind of assumptions, and without even trying to contact our support team to help you with problems you might run into.
We’re sorry we wasted your time, and wish you good luck and all the best with that other plugin you love so much.

Apparently something did not completely get deployed with the update. We will adjust the changelog asap. Thank you for noticing that.
For now, the new version is mostly enhancement for speed, compatibility and some minor optimizations.

And in reply of your concerns:
1) First of all: The chat still works on the frist visit, people can still open the Live-Chat with you, even when the sponsored message it shown (above the Live-Chat button)
2) We did quite some investigation on Live-Chat and engagement on the first pageview of a visit is exactly the one that most people don’t want to get engaged. It’s similar to the situation you enter a store, and with the first step entering the store a salesman start to ask you if he can help you, not the best way to improve customer engagement. However, banners and ads are accepted to be posted in the stores entry door!
And yes, of course there is a way to disable the ads. As explained on our FAQ (https://www.flexytalk.com/support/faq/) it’s currently for just $2.75 a month. Don’t tell me that isn’t a bargain to improve your customer/visitors engagement!

The chat stays active when you stay on the same website, and browse pages. If this is not working for you, there might be a problem with your browser settings. Contact our support team by opening a support ticket, and we are glad to help you.
However, when you navigate to another website, the session is lost. We can’t just ‘add’ the on-page widget to someone else his website! If you want this functionality, there is a setting in the FlexyTalk control panel, that will change the ‘on page’ chat widget to a ‘popup’ chat widget. As long as the popup window is not closed, the chat session will go on, and you can keep chatting.
So bottom line, there is nothing to fix on our side, sorry!
It’s either local settings in your browser that prevents the ongoing session for the on-page widget, or a different setup of your chat widget behavior if you want the chat to stay open when navigating to other websites. In any case, when you don’t understand the problem or settings, please open a support ticket and our team will help you in a much faster way than leave a message on rating here on this website.Forum: Plugins

Can you please elaborate on what went offline and never came back up? Did the chat-box tell you you offline, while you are online with your chat client, or was it something else you noticed being offline? I also understand from your second message, it’s working now again.
Our services are clustered and the main data is distributed, and served from several locations around the world as close as possible to the browsing user to achieve low latency on the bulk page loads. Also, we use non blocking content, and ‘lazy loads’ on the chat-boxes.
However, there always might be some (local) network delay or problem, and we keep monitoring and optimizing the service. If there are repeating problems from your end, I would like to ask you to submit a ticket in our support system (https://www.flexytalk.com/support/) with your account details and we will investigate what caused a problem for you.

We have introduced a solution (or alternative as you might want to call it) for GTalk a few months ago: FlexyTalk.im. Our own free XMPP network (just like Gtalk) that is compatible with any XMPP/Jabber client, available for all devices.
There is even a free web client you can use on computer, tablet and phone. But for small screens we recommend XMPP apps that are optimized for this.
You can configure your own free flexytalk.im XMPP account in the control panel -> agents.
