@curtiss – Thanks for your message. The images load okay but its the issue with the black lines. Also, the top slider is a mess on IE but my priority is getting the image problem sorted for now.

I have to be honest with you and say I wouldn’t know about the Javascript issue or where to find out! But thanks for the point – I will email the theme provider to ask about Javascript. Cheers

I put it back in afterwards but I have taken it out again.

If you visit the site now it wont have that line in but the problem still appears.

Thank you for the advice. Unfortunately I still have the same problem. I am viewing the website with IE8 and still all the images have black outlines.

Are you aware of any plugins that could help?

All fixed!

I started from scratch again and it worked! If it happens to you, it might be because you installed all the files from the theme (which I did) including the license – you just need to upload the theme files.

Another thing I could try is by manual install. However, as I am new at this, I don’t now how to install it with all my existing content – I do not want to re-do all my posts.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Unfortunately I am still having trouble. I have deactivated all my plugins except the memory bump plugin. I click on Automatic Upgrade and after a few seconds it just freezes.

Perhaps it’s because of my theme?

Anyway, thanks for trying to help. Does anybody else have any other ideas or the same issues?

For estern23, thanks for your advice. I am with 1and1 and it just gets stuck on the downloading screen. I have tried the memory bump plugin but did not have any result.

I am interested in trying your technique but can’t find the .htaccess file. I am using a theme – is this why?

If you can tell me how I get to that folder I would be most grateful,

Oh dear

I hope someone can help. Having great difficulty getting this to work.

I am only interested in post specific polls. When I insert a poll it initially seems okay. It appears on my right sidebar. The first problem is, when you vote, a small circle appears (a bit like the circle when a video is loading. It never takes you to the next screen with result (I have selected this as an option).

I make sure the expiry date is about a year off.

Also, in the general settings, even when I change the colour scheme, it never appears on the poll.

Can someone help me to get it so the polls provide the results after voting?
