OK, we may as well close this one. I have had a custom shortcode developed that displays the brands in the order they’re stored on the back-end. I’ll open a new thread to see how to deactivate ”?Category Order and Taxonomy Terms Order” for brands only.

I have confirmed Auto Sort is on and cleared all caches. The only shortcode I can find in the documentation is [product_brand_list] which seems to force alphabetical order.
I have tried adding the snippet at https://woocommerce.com/document/woocommerce-brands/#how-do-i-order-the-brands-on-the-front-end-as-showcased-on-the-admin-panel which is supposed to force the order, but it continues to be alphabetical.

This is supposed to modify the order of the brands, but they remain in alphabetical. How do I change the order?

Thanks. With effect from v9.6, WooCommerce now incorporates the product_brand taxonomy and associated functionality. The downside with this is that it only offers limited capability. For instance, the shortcode for listing of product_brand is set to alphabetical order.
I’m unsure where to go to modify this. Perhaps there is a hook I can access to modify the WooCommerce behaviour?
I have checked and Autosort is definitely enabled. I think it is being ignored, though.

Hi Andrea, I hope this helps with your fault-finding.

One of our team found that checking 3 options on “Dashboard > WooCommmerce > Settings > PPOM Settings > Basic Settings” has re-enabled the fields on the single product pages.

The boxes are:

• Legacy Inputs Rendering
• Legacy Conditions Script
• Enable Legacy Price Calculations

Naturally we are really pleased that we can start taking orders again.

I have created a DEV site. The only activated plugins are PPOM for WooCommerce, WooCommerce and WooCommerce shortcodes. I have set the theme to 2024.

There are no conditional settings I am aware of.

All PPOM fields are hidden. That is, there are no visible PPOM fields on the display. When I inspect the code, they are all marked as hidden.

Thanks. Sorry for making this appear lapsed – your alert arrived during a weekend break!

The fault was caused by WPML which requires a parent page to have the password set before a translated copy can. There is a setting change to change this behaviour and I am working with WPML to ensure users can find this in the documentation.

There is no clear reason why deactivating and activating YoastSEO should impact on the fault. I tried this with other plugins and it didn’t happen.

Anyway, to emphasise: YoastSEO is not the culprit here and I am working with WPML to clarify documentation.

I have made a new chart with the same configuration. I have compared behaviour using November data against behaviour using October data. The same thing happens.

I have created a “Private” TEST page that displays the graph. When the chart is set to show October data, it works. When it displays November data, the page crashes.

I can’t see any change in the structure of the data.

Any further thoughts?
