As of 11:12 AM US Central U.S. time, everything is up and running and I can access both my WP Admin Panel and my new website. But I would still like to know why nothing was accessible for at least 4-5 hours this morning.

I wanted to add that this issue is ONLY affecting my new WordPress site — https://www.libforall.org — and that my old, non-WordPress website at — https://www.libforall.org/index.html — can be viewed. So it is definitely a WP issue. AND I received a notice from WP yesterday that my site had been upgraded to the latest version of WP. HELP!

No, I currently have all my wordpress files in a subfolder called wp, but I instead want everything on the root. I want to do the opposite of what the instructions in the link tell me to do.

What I really want to do is hire someone to figure this out for me and get my site up and running at the correct URL, rather than at the URL with “wp” appended to it.

Prathameshp: I purchased the Avada theme from ThemeFusion and they did the installation. I received the site lockout notification via an email. I just checked the email “sender” and it used MY email address. Sorry I am so clueless. :-\

I am not sure what Plugins I am using. I am using the latest version of the Avada theme from Theme Fusion. They installed the Avada theme and any required plugins when they did the installation. Sorry, I am new to WP.
