Thanks James. After going through the usual set of hoops, and even being trapped in an endless loop, I’ve managed to post my question in the Adsense Help Center. I’ll keep my fingers crossed.
I was going to say that I will have to wait, but since last time the problem went away just after posting here, maybe this time I would get lucky too. So, before pressing the “Submit” button, I’ve decided to check if the problem still happens, and guess what…… it’s not happening! I can scroll to the bottom, the GDPR link appears, and everything seems to be ok. ??
I don’t know if this is a really weird coincidence, or someone reading this has changed something? Anyway, I just hope it keeps working. ??
Thanks again for helping me ??
Just some extra info… I’ve been looking into the Privacy and messaging options of Adsense like Adam suggested, and I’ve found that there might be some problem with the message for the consent revocation link, or at least it doesn’t look like the other messages. Here’s a video showing it (sorry, it’s in spanish, but I hope it’s easy to follow anyway):
Assuming it’s indeed an issue with that link, I assume it’s related to google but not directly related to Site Kit. Or is it anyway? Where could I ask for help? Thanks.
Hi, it seems like the same issue is happening again… when I scroll to the bottom of the page, and some kind of cookie consent links should show up, they don’t and the page stops working.
I do have the Adsense GDPR set to display the cookie consent message, but it was already set like that before, and it worked.
I am at a loss. It just worked ok, and since a few days ago, it is not working properly again (when scrolling to the bottom of my site).
The last time it just fixed itself, don’t know if it was some update or what.
If anybody can suggest anything, it would be greatly appreciated, thank you.
It’s odd, but I checked just now, and the link to Configure cookie consent etc. is appearing as a line of text beneath the footer of the page. ??</img>??</img> And most importantly, now the page keeps working even after I scroll down to the bottom.
This is how it looks right now: https://snipboard.io/OqWbsc.jpg
I don’t understand, a while ago it looked different (and triggering the “page not responding” issue), is there an explanation for this? Anyway, at least now it works perfectly, so I hope it stays like this! Thanks.Hi James,
Thanks for your reply. Not sure why you don’t encounter a cookie popup when visiting my site , anyway, I’ve used your link to submit the info, but I will repeat it here:
? A short video showcasing the problem: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Wtk5uXB8cFY
? My Site Health – I can’t copy to clipboard but here’s a screenshot: https://snipboard.io/vGKdMR.jpg
(regarding Site Health, it always says my site is dying, I do what I can but it was already like that a long time ago, so not sure if it has something to do with this). Thanks for looking into this!

In reply to: [Meks Easy Photo Feed Widget] Instagram has returned empty dataI updated today to the latest version (v1.1.1), and now it’s working (at least for me). I hope it stays that way! Again, thanks to the creator of the plugin/widget.

In reply to: [Meks Easy Photo Feed Widget] Instagram has returned empty dataI’m in the same situation. The plugin has not been working lately (“empty data”), today I updated to 1.1 and went through the token-auth-thing in the hopes that things would finally work again, but no – same thing as before. The only difference now with 1.1 is that I also get the “Please authorize your Instagram account in the plugin setting” message, even though I’ve already done so and saved the changes.
Anyway, thanks to the creator of the plugin for his work! I hope this problem can be worked out somehow.Forum: Plugins
In reply to: [Plugin: Quick Flickr Widget] Is Fast Flickr Widget safe to use?Ok… according to what I found out from other sources, the plugin is NOT safe to use and should be avoided. I’ve already replaced it by another one which more or less does the same (anyway, security-wise, the fact of not being supported anymore by the author should be reason enough to replace any plugin). Just wanted to share my findings in case somebody else ran into the same issue later.
I haven’t checked it yet thoroughly, but I’m having the same problem and I think this is the right solution. Thanks!
Thanks a lot Brian. I can’t check whether it works or not for me, tho, since I was banned from the adsense program for unknown reasons briefly after posting the above question (not even 2 weeks since signing up for adsense!). Anyway, as I say, thanks a a lot for your help.

In reply to: [Plugin: Add Local Avatar] problems with directory pathI was having exactly the same problem. I did not find documentation for the legacy option, and took for granted it was some kind of “retro-compatibility” option for previous versions. Until I checked it, and found it does exactly what I wanted: it allows me to update to [www-whatever-html}/avatar_path, but displays the image just as /avatar_path. At last it works!
Thanks for the plugin, Peter. It’s me again… I think I’ve found a workaround that seems to work, and I thought it could be useful to share it, in case more people runs into the same problem. I have created a new user and I have changed the “author” field of the few posts where I don’t want ads, so the new user is now “him” instead of me. Then, I have edited the options for the ads and filtered them so that they don’t show for posts/pages where the author is the new user.
This posts aren’t showing ads after doing this, and pages are not broken since they do have an author. So, it’s working! ??
Anyway, either I was doing something wrong when manipulating the tags/categories filter, or there is some kind of bug – if the latter is true, it would be nice that Scott (the author of the plugin) could fix it sometime in the future. I’ve tried several adsense plugins, and personally I like his the most. Thanks Scott!
